"Your not going to believe what i found," pronounced Sam.
"It's lame isn't it," Jessie said pessimistically.
"Probably not that bad" echoed a voice from across the room.
"Axe and Jake you guys here too." dragged Jessie's voice. "Back from the Junkyard i see," Jessie said with complete bravery.
"Ya, so we escaped from that worthless deficient Orphanage you guys seem to put up with, and left you losers, sounds like a win for us" boomed Axe with that unmistakable crackle in his voice.
"You idiots better shut your trap, before i shut it for you," yelled Jessie full with anger.
"Jessie don't waste your time on these delinquents." Sam whispered silently into Jessie's ear. Jessie, ignoring the advice from his best friend, walked up to Axe and Jake and stared them in the eyes.
At least as well as he could considering he was at least a good foot shorter than the two fugitives, on the run from the cops since that had with out a doubt stolen many times from various family owned stores.
"Oh yeah it's go time" whispered Jessie without thinking of the consequences of what would happen next.
Obviously this wasn't the first time these guys had gotten on his nerves. Constant bullying and overall nastiness to everyone ticked off Jessie and Sam.
Sam was quiet, always wanted to do the right thing and he was shy. He was hesitant to be bold or brave and his pleading brown eyes showed it. His short brown hair was never in order and you could never get him to wash it.
Jessie on the other hand was brave and bold, or so he wanted to believe. He never liked to do bad things, but although his overall tendency was to do the right thing, it was very reoccurring that he had trouble choosing from doing what was right, opposed to doing something easy.
Jessie liked the overall idea of fights and lust for the chance to be in power and to stop the 'bad guys' as he would always used to call him when he was younger and his only true possession was a comic book.
He for a boy of 14, loved adventure and him and Sam would go anywhere, even though Sam was one year younger than Jessie, he would still treat him the same as if he was 14 as well. Jessie had Dark short hair, and had an overall appealing appearance.
He was likable and he knew it. Maybe that's why he liked fights, the only other thing that would make him the most attractive person at Sunny Side Orphanage.
He always was a passionate dreamer, you couldn't stop him from picking up a book and acting it out, or pretending he was Superman. He was shorter than most, not abnormally short, but shorter than most boys his age. He had hazel eyes that seemed to make all your problems go away.
Although on the other hand, Jake and Axe had dark blue eyes that seemed to freeze your very being. There piercing ocean blue eyes penetrated your soul seeming to harden your heart in all possible ways. It was almost as if evil had been possessed with in their very being.
"Lets do it!" Whispered Axe and Jake although it seemed as if they had yelled it out. 'Bam!' an unstoppable fist plowed into Jessie's chest sending him soaring into the air and then hitting the ground 5 feet away from his original position.
Jessie sprung up, as if the shock wave of a punch had not made him flinch. He bolted towards Jake and took a shot at his Jaw.
He missed.
From behind, Axe nailed him right between the interconnecting joints in his leg. Jessie buckled and collapsed in a heap on the cold stone floor. Everything went silent. You could hear a pin drop. Sam bolted to get help as Jake jumped at him tauntingly. Axe picked up Jessie and nailed him right in the Jaw. A loud crack filled the air.
Blood oozed from Jessie's mouth and streams of saliva dripped down his chin. A small cackle left the mouth of Jake as he then took Jessie by the neck and threw him onto a pile of rubble. Nails and trash rubbed against Jessie's tanned skin.
"He's worthless, he'll only bring us more trouble if he's alive."
After all this, Jessie had not even thought about the fact than he was up against full time criminal's.
They were fugitives from the cops, and at any moment they could slit his neck with the 3 inch knife that Axe held in his hand. They were not the same nasty boys from the orphanage.
'They couldn't kill me could they,' Jessie thought. Jake held Jessie down and at that moment the knife pressed against Jessie's throat. The wind blew silently in the crisp fall night, and everything went black.
