Mine? We belong to him? That can’t be, you can’t own a person. Right?

“And since you are mine, you must do what I tell you. Starting now” he finished with a satisfied smile. “Everyone will step down and lineup, along here” he gestures to where Dan was marking a line with tape. Dan kicks a teacher’s body away, not even looking the slightest bit bother.

No one move, everyone was still digesting that we now belong to a self-sadist man, who resembles a clown. Gary processes it much faster than Katie because he grips onto Katie’s hand, she looks at him. Her worry line starts to appear.

“Come on now, don’t be shy” he practically purrs. Everyone shuffles, uncomfortable and debating whether they should go or not. Snick frowns, not liking that we’re being disobedient, I guess.

Snick glances at Dan, who nods. In a flash, he’s gone, only to return 10 seconds later, holding a little girl. She’s been knock out, obviously. Dan stands by Snick who advances on the little girl. He trails his finger along her cheek, landing on her neck. He presses down.

“Here”’ he spoke, “is where a main vein is, if this vein is ever cut, you would bleed to death. Either you all line up here or I will cut this little girl’s neck and get another child and that cut child’s neck, until you all come down.”

By now, everyone had come to a decision. No one wanted to watch a little girl died, we watch as our classmates died but seeing another that happen to be a little girl, it gave our stomachs a stirring and a sickening feeling. Everyone slowly filed down; Katie eyes were soft as she stared at that little girl. She took a step forward but Gary held her back. She looks back at him with questioning eyes.

Gary doesn’t bother answering her look, instead he looks to me. “Megan, are you coming?”

I faltered. I don’t want to go down but I don’t want the girl to bleed to death either.

“Of course she’s going!” Katie growls. She stares at me with a desperate look in her eyes but she tries to hide it with anger. “She has to go; you’re not going to seriously let that little girl died, right?” She points at Snick. “Not by that sick twisted clown.”

“Now, now” Snick said. “Complimenting me won’t get you out of this.”

Some people had the look of disgust on their faces. Girls mostly look terrified. Katie was one of them, but Gary look tense. He led Katie down. I plan on following them after Katie’s little speech but my feet wouldn’t moved.

Snick white eyes were on me. So much for not drawing attention I thought dryly.

“Come on, now” Snick’s voice calls out to me.

I took a deep breath before exhaling it. My right foot step forward, follows by my left foot and soon I was walking. It’s what I need to do, everyone already been through so much.

“That’s it” Snick voices, “follow everyone.”

When I had reached the bottom, I finally saw how many were here. There were at least 150 of us. This is a small town, there has to be at least 300 of us, more or less and more than half are gone. Some are probably stuck to my feet, walking with me. I could the blood from underneath my feet, making blood ooze out. I try to block out the noise but I couldn’t. It remains somewhere in my memory now.
