Dana had immediately sensed her sons presence in her castle. It was a sense that only shape shifters had, she was sure her son was feeling the same.

It killed her to know how long of a walk of was from the gate she wished she could take back the law that states no one can fly within the Kingdom walls. The king had not been seen for weeks. So he couldn't pass a law overriding the original.

Nobody would admit what they thought, not that he was dead no no that wasn't it but he was already close to leaving his kingdom for another queen.

The Prince was supposed to give him something to stay for, but the king had gotten antsy and left to the kingdom of Yagden.

As soon as Dana felt her son's presence she summoned mages and had them enchant an arrow to deliver the message to king Bayern.

Dana bolted out of her bed. She heard footsteps echoing down the hall, her sons presence incredibly close. A knock on her door.

"Are you decent?" Kyra's voice echoed through the hall.

"Yes of course!" She called, the door creaked open. In stepped her personal guard and of course, her son.

He looked exactly as the mirror projected, his hair the color of coffee and his eyes as grey as stone.

His skin was slightly pale with freckles darted across his face.

She walked over to her son and went to give him a hug, but he pushed her away.

Dana was a little hurt but she understood he thought she was a stranger anyway. Kyra cleared her throat as Dana looked down. "Uh, Gryffin this is your......... Um" She stuttered.

"She's my what?" Gryffin asked. "MOTHER!" Dana blurted, then covered her mouth and looked slightly ashamed.

Gryffin looked at her in shock. Then he ran out of her room, stumbling her the red carpets. "I'm sorry." Said Kyra

"Its OK," Dana said as she choked on tears. "No its not! I'll go get him."

A minute later she came back. "He's lost, I'm sorry my Queen," poor Kyra explained. Dana shook her head "Whatever just, when you find him bring him to me so I can explain,"
