King Marclin's POV
The spell dropped into the castle at about noon. I was walking alone in the giant halls contemplating whether this was what I wanted or not.
I passed by numerous doors. My feet hitting the fluffy carpet with some soft thuds, I paused to look out the windows from time to time.
Looking across the garden was one of my favorite things to do, it reminded me of my old castle. I was almost back to the royal chambers when I heard it.
I turned in the direction of the noise and saw a silver ball of light fly through one of the open windows. It bolted to me and started to deliver the message, Queen Dana's voice echoed through the castle:
"King Marlclin, since you abandoned your kingdom you do not know the news yet."
I was very offended but continued to listen;
"Years ago I birthed a child, but because of the war and the dark forces we had to send him away,"
" I am pleased to announce that our child has returned to us."
I was eager now, my son had finally returned.
"I don't expect you to stay, but I would like you to meet our long lost son. You can thank Kyra for bringing him back. Please come and see our son, Gryffin."
Before the message had even finished I had run down the hall and flown down the stairs. I immediately spotted my grey and white horse, Quill.
I mounted him and sent him into action. I rode quickly a crossed the plains and through the forests. The outline of my former castle came into view. Huts started to appear at my sides. Those huts started to turn into the houses of our city.
At last I would meet my son.
