It took me some time to get prepare myself, but I'm finally ready to go to school. Two months seem to pass by, even though I barely did anything this summer. Not even productive things, I might add. Every time I check my Facebook, pictures of my former classmates and their adventures around my beautiful country, the Philippines, drown my wall. While I'm here, sitting in front of my computer, envying them. Sigh. I live a sad, boring life. Though I must admit, I'm actually psyched going back to school. I can't wait to see my former classmates, and I can't wait to see who'll be my new classmates for the next school year. And I just can't wait to get out of my house after two weeks of doing nothing. I just can't wait for the opportunities this school year set out for me.

Chapter 1: A new beginning (I guess?)

"Hey Mason, wake up already!!!" my mom shouts at me, fresh from the shower."It's your turn to take a shower. Hurry up, it's almost six. We don't want to be late like last time." I sighed and covered my eyes as my mom opens the light.                                                                                                                            "Yes mom. Give me a couple of minutes." I replied.                                                                                                                                                                                  "We don't have couple of minutes. Come on, move your ass."

 "Yes mom, sheesh."

I took a deep breath, trying to supply enough oxygen to my brain to wake me up so I could start moving my body. I guess my mind was ready for school, but my body got used to my summer routine of waking up at around 10:00 in the morning that it wants more sleep even though I've slept for a good eight and a half hours. I got up from my bed, wave my arms like a fucker, looking for my towel around my room (my eyes weren't cooperating with me that time). I finally found it hanging by my door, beside the light switch. I took my towel and head towards the shower. I hung my towel behind the door and realized that I forgot my phone back in my room. Good thing I'm awake now, I suppose. I head back to my room to retrieve my phone, which to my surprise has a text in it. "That's strange, the number's not in my contacts." I said to myself. "Who would bother to text me? Haha" I open the message and it read:

"Hi! You probably don't know this number, but you gave yours to me years ago and I only had the courage to text you now. I can't wait for school today! I just missed everyone. Especially you."

I wondered who sent me that text. And it's quite a shock that someone would actually miss me. I may have a lot of friends, most of them dudes, but I don't think I'm that popular to have someone that actually misses me. I just shrugged it off and headed back to the bathroom. I have a school to get to.
