Valentina POV
It's been a long first week of school and surprisingly I haven't seen Dex since the first day. It was something about him, I just haven't quite figured it out yet.
"Valentina over here!" Tiffany yelled across the cafeteria waving her hand.
I walked over to her, approaching the crowd. "What's up?" I smiled as we exchanged hugs.
I met Tiffany in Math class. She sat next to me so we always paired up to do partner work. She stood to be about 5'4, light skin complexion with short curly hair."Girl let me introduce you to some of my niggas." She grabbed the two people that stood on the side of her and wrapped her arms around them. "These two are my ride or dies," she smiled. "Dylan, Jada meet Valentina." Tiffany introduced us and we shook hands and continued to wait in line for our food. Surprisingly, I was slowly making friends.
We grabbed our food and sat at the middle table towards the back. I figured the entire cafeteria had their own assigned seats."So, I ain't never seen you around here before. You new?" Dylan questioned as he bit down onto his fries.
"Yeah, that's me. The 'new chick'." I emphasized. He chuckled and looked at me as if he was admiring my beauty. "Why you looking at me like you bout to drool on me?" I joked as we all began to laugh together.
Tiffany nudged his arm and laughed before saying, "Dylan gotta thang for them mami's." She smiled before finishing her milk.
"Slow y'all rolls manee. I just know beauty when I see it." He stated before leaving the table with his empty tray."I mean he is kinda cute." I chuckled as I watched him walk away.
"He can be a lover boy but you not ready for all that yet." Tiffany laughed.
I shrugged my shoulders and continued to eat my food. So far the crowd I was with was fine. Seemed as though they had a lot of love and loyalty between the three and I definitely need those kind of friends.
"It's a party tonight. You wanna come with us, 'new chick'?" Jada asked as she joked, popping on her gum.
I wasn't sure if my parents would allow me to go out and party. My father is too over protective and my mother thinks people are no good. "I'll have to see you."I answered dryly, scanning the cafeteria.
"Girl, you not doing nothing else." Jada smacked her lips rolling her eyes in disappointment.
"It's not that deep Jada. She ain't going nowhere, we can shake that ass next time!" Tiffany said as she stood up and twerked as if she was in some music video. We all laughed together as Tiffany showed off.
"Girl, look who coming." Jada pointed to the stranger that approached our table. Tiffany sucked her teeth and threw her hands on her hips. From her actions I figured he probably was a bugga-boo.
"What you doing?" The stranger said sounding upset.
"Ricky please get the fuck out my face and out my space!" She threw her hand in his face. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her close to his chest. "Stop fucking showing off! Fuck you over here shaking yo' ass for?!" He yelled appearing to tighten his grip on her wrist.
"Get your hands off her homie." I stood up placing my hands on the table. He looked at me and laughed. "You," he began as he pointed at me. "Mind your fucking business."
