Valentina POV

"Algo suceder a mi la hija, sería tu culpa! (Something happen to my daughter, it would be your fault!)" My mother shouted as I quietly began to shut the house door. I knew she would react this way and as always blame PaPa. My mother was very over protective when it came to me, I knew that she assumed the worse since I had missed their calls.

"No te preocupes mami, estoy aqui. (No worries mommy, I'm here.)" I said calmly walking into the living room where they were both standing.

From the look on my mother's face, I knew that my presence didn't make her worries go away. I turned to look at my father and I immediately dropped my head as I saw nothing but disappointment in his eyes.

"Empaca tus cosas ahora! (Pack your things now!)" She yelled furiously at me as she snatched my arm redirecting me towards my room. Usually, I was not disobedient when it came to my parents orders but this time, I refused to do what I was told. My mother never allowed anyone to explain their reasonings and acknowledge their wrongs, that is the reason why her and PaPa constantly bump heads.
I tried not to be so aggressive as I snatched my arm away from her grip and turning to face her. Her face was now as red as an erupting volcano.

"Mamá estoy seguro y me disculpo. (Mom I'm safe and I apologize.)" I tried to explain to her as to why I was late getting home and why I had missed their calls. I knew that I had to be home at a certain time during school nights, being that education is very important to both of them. But my mother wasn't trying to hear anything I had to say and to my surprise, my father didn't defend me.

"¡No hay excusas! Nos vamos ahora! (No excuses! We leave now!)" She demanded as she stomped her foot on the ground and pointed towards my room. My mother was very stubborn so I knew there was nothing I could say to her about the situation anymore. Once she believes you are in wrong then there is no changing her mind.

As I began to open the door to my room, I turned towards PaPa and said, "PaPa, puedo tener una palabra con usted? (Papa, may I have a word with you?)"

"Jose, no te atrevas a acercarte a ella! (Don't you dare go near her!)" My mother shouted as she pointed in my father's face.

I decided to go in my room and shut my door, hoping to get some peace and quiet. By the look in my mother's eyes, I could tell this night wasn't going to end too well.
Sitting on my bed, I instantly shot Dexter a text. As soon as we made it official, it seemed as if everything was going downhill already. It didn't matter how much I liked him, if my father forbid me from taking things any further with him then I would have to obey him.

Me: I'm in so much trouble Papi :(
Dexter: Do I need to come back?
Me: I wish you could but you can't.

After my last text, Dexter didn't respond. I sighed to myself as I began to pack my things like my mother ordered. I was just starting to like my school as well as Dex and as always I had to pack up and move away. It was so frustrating not being able to stay in one spot.
About 20 minutes passed by and my parents were still arguing. I had never heard them have such an heated argument until tonight. Honestly, I could only blame myself.
Snapping me out of my thoughts was a phone call from Dex. Although he took too long to respond, I had to remember he wasn't the average boyfriend so I knew he had to be busy.

"What's going on?" He asked with concern in his voice.

"Maybe-" I stopped my sentence, swallowing hard at what I was about to say. I knew Dexter wasn't going to like it but truth be told, I knew my father was going to forbid our relationship. Especially once he finds out who Dexter truly was.
