PREFACE

In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present. These past few months I never thought the last thing I would see was the dark eyes of a skilled hunter. As we thought dying in place of the ones with loved, was noble and had to count for something.

Not coming to Forks could have saved us from facing death. Although, we we're afraid we couldn't regret the decision. When life gives you, the unexpected and dreams out of this world, you can't grieve when it comes to an end.

The hunter stalked forward showing a friendly face as he was determined to kill us.

End Preface

Currently Bella and I are on the way to the airport without our mother Renée. We were leaving hot and sunny Phoenix, Arizona on our way to wet and rainy Forks, Washington. We we're going to live with our dad Charlie, who I was excited to see since it has been three years since I last saw him. I was ready for Forks, stoked to go. Bella on the other hand she can say she wants to go all she wants, but being her twin I can see right through the lie. Mom on the other hand was believing it.

Mom started talking bringing me out of my thoughts. "Skylar, Bella we're here, are you sure you guys want to go, I can always stay home with you two?"

"Mom we'll be fine, go have fun with Phil, you two deserve some alone time, Bella and I said at the same time causing me to smirk. "Ok, ok she hugged us tightly as we left and got on the plane. Forks here we come! After the five-hour flight, I surely had a severe case of jet lag. As we got off I seen dad, waiting, beside his cruiser being the chief of police and all.

Bella came up awkwardly, but me I ran to give him a hug. He laughed heartily, it's good to see you Sky and you too Bells as he gave her an awkward one-arm hug. I snickered at the two and their lack of verbose. On the ride to Forks from Port Angeles, Dad told us he had a surprise for us back at the Swan house. I keep on guessing while Bella looked out the window telling Charlie he didn't have to get us nothing to be happy in Forks. To be honest I'm very happy!

Finally, after an hour we pulled up to the three-bedroom house that reminded me of how happy we were as a family, I starting getting sad reminiscing until Bella snapped me out of it. Dad, I absolutely love it, I looked up to see Bella running to a red truck while Dad half-smiled embarrassed.

I smiled as I thought Bella would have already changed her mind wanting to go home. I looked behind the truck to see a silver two-door jeep wrangler. I jumped up and down and started to run toward it, but not with hugging my father. Who I was very appreciative of. We grabbed our bags as we went to put them in our old rooms as I walked it I noticed it was different purple walls with black curtains, and a white bed cover, seeing as those were my favorite colors. I smiled as I unpacked and got ready for bed, tomorrow would be my first day at Forks High School. Even though I'm the outgoing one, I don't want all the attention, I yelled goodnight to Dad and Bella. I then drifted off to a nice, dream less, much needed slumber.
