Shane's p.o.v
I went home 10 minutes after she left. when I got home Lisa looked at me. I think she knew something was wrong because she looked at me with sympathetic eyes.
"I'll be in the editing room" I said.
"Wanna talk about it?" she asked me.
"No, I just wanna be alone" I said almost in a whisper. I walked to the room and locked it.
Laura's p.o.v
I was home after my date with Ian. My mom was in the kitchen. I sat down after I grabbed a soda from the fridge.
"how was your date?" she asked me.
"it was good" I said. I was stuck thinking of something else.
"are you okay sweetie?" She asked me.
"Why does Shane hate me so much?" I said tearing up.
"oh honey, don't cry, he doesn't hate you" she said.
"Do you not see the face of disgust he makes when he sees me?" I said.
"sweetheart-" she started.
"mom, I'll be in my room" I said walking to my room. I closed the door and sat on my bed. I cried myself to sleep that night.
In the morning I woke up with Jared towering over me.
"what do you want?" I asked.
"Mom asked me to talk to you" he said.
"can we do this when I'm not fucking sleeping because you know as well as me, I'm not a morning person" I said.
"I'll be waiting downstairs" he said.
I fell asleep after that. When I woke up I showered changed and went downstairs. Jared and Shane were talking on the couch. 'god! do you have to be here every single say!' I thought.
"Can we talk?" Jared asked.
"let's go" I said, leading him to my room. We both sat on my bed. "What's up?" I asked.
"Mom told me about you and Shane" he said.
"what?" I asked.
"he doesn't hate you" he said.
"Jared I've heard this all before an-" he cut me off.
"Look, just hear me out, he doesn't hate you, and he doesn't like you" he said looking down.
"Jared, I just wanna know why he hates me so much, I don't wanna live a life where my own brother hates me, if that's the case, then I'd rather not be alive at all" I said.
"dont say that" he told me.
suddenly I got a text from Ian.
Meet me at the park now -Ian <3
I looked up at Jared. "I have to go, bye" I said. I hugged him and went downstairs to hug my mom. I didn't even bother to look at Shane when I stepped downstairs. I walked towards the park. I saw Anthony sitting on the bench with Kalel and Ian sitting on a separate bench searching for someone. I walked up to him and sat next to him.
"hey" I said.
"hi laura" he said. "I've been meaning to ask you something" he said.
"what is it?" I asked curiously.
"will you be...umm...my...uh...girl...friend" he asked flinching.
"yes" I said.
"well, I underst-...did you just say yes?!" he asked excitedly.
