Chapter 17

Rebekah's POV

"So now what?" I asked. Niklaus had left and I was pretty sure he wouldn't be back for quite a long time. I didn't really know what to do right now so I stared at my only 2 brothers here and awaited for their answers. 

And finally, the noble one spoke, "I think we should inform every friends of Tatia right this moment about the incident before it's too late when they reach Tatia and talk about Klaus." Kol and I both nodded in agreement and I picked out my phone and started broadcast texting...

Hi stupid vampire friends, witch and a few possible human friends of Tatia!

I am here to inform you that Niklaus has left Mystic Falls and probably won't come back in the near future as Tatia has just revealed her secret to him which I assume you all know about it already. If you don't, here's a fast recap. 

Tatia has been cursed with the curse of love and which when she confessed she loved Klaus that night, it triggured it and so from then onwards, whenever they touch each other, Tatia will feel immense pain in her and that's why Klaus left.

You're probably wondering why I am texting you about this because It's not like I really wanted to keep in touch with you guys. The reason why I am texting you guys is because Klaus wanted me to warn you guys not to say anything wrong in front of Tatia.

What does that mean? Well, let's just say because Klaus compelled Tatia to forget about him and you all have to avoid the topic on him.

Here are a few things you should know in Tatia's memory now:

1. She never heard of Klaus and so he is not in the Mikaelsons in her mind.

2. She doesn't remember she suffered a thousand years in the cave so let's lie to her and tell her she's been unconcious for the last thousand of years because the spell Esther did to make us vampires was too much for her to handle but eventually she woke up and met you guys and befriended.

So, I think that's all! Just don't mention anything about Klaus or her past and it'll all be fine.

I pressed 'send' and I heard repeated "ding ding ding" sound.

"You don't have to send it to us too, you know?" Kol said while showing the screen of his phone to me and it showed 'Rebekah sent you a message'. Elijah just kept his poker face on and went through the message. I guessed he's checking if I forgot to mention anything.

"Rebekah, my dear sister, you don't have to be rude to Tatia's friends. They are not really that bad you know?" Elijah spoke, still with his poker face.

"What? They are just so naive and think they can always save the world. And for the record, they tried to kill me before!" I spoke louder. 

"I know but they were going to kill you out of self-defence. If you were them, you would do the same thing." Elijah answered.

"Ugh, fine, I don't want to talk to you about this anymore, you keep defending them." I said.

"Defending who?" A voice said and I turned around and saw Tatia standing there with a smile.

"um... nothing! So... um... Tatia, how are you feeling today?" I asked, not really knowing what to say.

"Nothing special, I feel normal. Hey, are we going to shopping today? Because I don't have anything to do this afternoon." Tatia said.

"Um... yeah, sure, of course I can!" I said, feeling nervous and shaky.

"Great. What's wrong with you, why are you so tense?" Tatia asked with a frown.

i just stared at her and not knowing how to answer her. God, why was I nervous anyway? I looked towards Elijah and Kol for help and Elijah spoke.

"Well, I guess she needs a spa to loosin' up a bit don't you think? Tatia, maybe you can go with her?" Elijah helped me and thank god that's a very good one.

"Oh of course! I'll meet you down here in a minute, I need to grab my coat." Tatia said and slowly walked upstairs.

"Phew... that was close!" I said.

"I can't believe you're a pussy, Rebekah. Your face was just priceless!" Kol teased me and Elijah just shrugged.

But then suddenly, something popped up in my mind...

"Hey! I think we should get rid of everything of Klaus before she sees them. Like his photos and diary entries!" I whispered, fearing Tatia would hear us.

"You're right. Well, while you girls are out, we'll start cleaning up stuff of Klaus and maybe by chance, we'll clean up the house a little bit too as the compelled maid was dead because Kol drank her dry." Elijah stated. I smirked and looked at Kol and he quickly said, "What? She's delicious and you know it!"

We just shook our heads and apparently, Tatia's walking down so we're going to have a great, relaxed afternoon.

But no matter how relaxed a spa could make me, I still felt bad for lying to Tatia of something that big... Because her part of compelled memories were the most important part of her entire life...

Her love...

Her first love...

The thing that I always admired her and wanted for my own...

The thing that gave her hope to survive in that cave...

Had been compelled away...
