Shadows (An Avengers Fan-Fic)

Chapter 3 - Poisoned

(Well, third chapter, and the last one ima gonna post today :P Did ya like the last chapter? Yes, no, maybe? Read!!!! XD)  

Clint/ Hawkeye’s POV

       Nick Fury had told us we were having a meeting tonight with a guest, I wonder who he was. Me and everyone else came early to chat, but it soon became a fight, me just sitting on the side watching it commence until we heard someone clap there hands. I turn around and see Nick with this black haired girl with perching green eyes. She just stood there looking uncomfortable until Nick spoke up, “This is our little guest, she goes by the name Shadow,” he explains. She gives a little wave, “Wait, hold on a second! She’s the girl from the mission!!!” I thought examining her. “Wow she looks prettier in person…” I mumbled low enough no one heard me.

             Nick had her sit next to him and he started the meeting. “So, does everyone know who Loki is?” he questioned. Everyone nodded, even Shadow, but she had surprised everyone a bit. “What, its not like everyone in the world hasn’t seen his attempt in world domination!?” she exclaimed making everyone laugh. We continued the meeting until it was really late and Fury sent everyone to bed because he needed to talk to Shadow. I left kind of upset, but left anyways. I stretched out on my bed and fall asleep.   

Shadow’s POV

       “Great, Fury’s kept me here so we can ‘talk’” I thought to myself while I waited for everyone to leave. Finally Fury came up to me and asked me if I had any special abilities, in which I denied because I wasn’t working for my dad again… Not after what happened. He had the red headed girl, who I found out was called Natasha, to take me home. Me and Natasha talked a bit about the guys, her telling me all about them. Not like already knew all of them, I just didn’t recognize them…. We chatted until I got home and I said goodbye to Natasha and that she could visit me anytime, and she left.

         I entered my apartment and sighed, it was five in the morning and I had a client at six. I went straight to my bathroom and started getting ready, then rushed out of my apartment and down the buildings stairs until I got to the buildings garage. I walked up to my black BMW and made my way to the lab. I walked in to come face to face with Bruce, one of the other scientist at the lab. “Hey Bruce, what do we have to work on today?” I question taking a sip of my coffee I had gotten before I had arrived. “We need to work on this,” he explained pointing to a rock. “Huh, seems easy enough…” I said as we started working. All of a sudden I got really dizzy, I sniffed my coffee… “Yup, its poisoned!” I thought in my head and everything went black.   

Hulk/ Bruce’s POV

       Me and Vicky were working on some sort of rock, but I couldn’t stop thinking about how much she looked like Shadow…. All of a sudden I heard Vicky sniff something so I turned to find her on the ground. “Shoot, Vic!!!” I yelled and picked her up and went straight to the hospital. She was sent immediately sent to the emergency room and I had to wait in the waiting room. I was worried for her, she was like a sister for me. Soon, I couldn’t take it anymore and walked out of the hospital and asked for transport to the helle-carier.

         Once I had gotten to the helle-carier, everyone saw my worn out expression, but I just ignored all there questions and sat down on the couch, just thinking. Suddenly Tony came in, “Hey big guy, whats wrong?” he questioned. I just shrugged it off and didn’t answer him. “Ohhh, a girl?” he asked getting closer to me. I stayed silent, him just making up silly answers. Then Fury came in looking kind of warned out as well. “You okay Fury?” Tony asked turning his questions to Fury instead of me. “Oh thank god!” I sighed and he turned to me and grinned. Suddenly my phone started ringing, “Guess you are,” I said with a smirk as I answered.

       “Hello?” I questioned. “Hello, this is the hospital… Are you the friend of Vicky Fury?” they asked and I rose an eyebrow. “No, I’m friends with Vicky Vancoghver.” I said as everyone turned to me. “Okay, anyway she’s okay… She was just poisoned and we will be keeping her in the hospital for a few days. “Okay…” I said trailing off and hung up. “Was that your girlfriend?” teased Tony. “No, its one of my co-workers that somehow got poisoned.” I answered making his expression reflect guilt. I sighed and left.
