Hello lovely weirdos! Sorry that it's been a while. With high school and applying for college it's been insane but it's nearing the start of a new beginning in life. With Avengers endgame having come out and having watched it I felt inspired to come back to this. The only problem is that I have no idea what direction I was going to have this story go in so I have to keep rereading everything whenever I want to write a new chapter. No biggie though, I'm happy with how this is turning out. I'm hoping my writing isn't too fast paced, I wanted to make this chapter longer for you all since it's been ages. I hope you all like it. Anyways, I'll shut up now! Enjoy the next chapter in our story!!!

*Recap*

I turned to take my leave, eyes throwing daggers at the girl as her chest began to inflate and deflate again. "I'll be back.." I whispered more to myself then the mortal resting in bed before leaving in a blink of an eye.

*Banner's POV*

"...Ba-... Mr. Ba... Mr. Banner sir," I hear as I wake up with a jolt. "Y-yes!" I mumbled as I opened my heavy eyes to the face of a nurse looming over me. "Sorry to disturb you from your sleep but it seems as though Miss Vancoghver woke up and had an episode during the night. We'd like to know if you are aware of anything that may have triggered this such as an allergy or an illness that wasn't mentioned on her documentation." It took me a minute to process this, an episode? What kind of episode?. Sighing I explained to the nurse, "I'm sorry but I don't know much about her medical history, I'm just a friend who knows her through work. Do you have anything on her family in the records?" I ask, putting a hand to my head as a headache began to form, pounding beneath my skull. "No, surprisingly enough, no medical records until she showed up today with only basic information. Nothing on family at all" she sighed. "We'll do a blood test and see if we can find anything in the system," she explained, nodding to me as she turned to make her way out of the room.

Once she had left, my attention turned to Vicky who laid peacefully on the bed, the tranquil scene was ruined however with the tense appearance of her right arm, gripping onto something dome shaped. I raised an eyebrow, not remembering Vicky gripping anything when I had brought her in. Getting out of my chair I made my way over to where Vicky was laid down. I lifted her hand gently, which relaxed, leaving the dome shaped object remaining on her chest. Laying her hand to her side I looked closely at the dome, which was actually an amulet engraved with what looked like Norse writing. "Why would Vicky have something like this?" I mumbled, deciding to reach for the object to get a better look, however just as I was an inch from picking it up I heard the door slam open. My arm jolted away from her as I turned to see Director Fury at the door, a nurse fretting behind him as she tells him to be quite due to other patiences sleeping. Dismissing the nurse, he closed the door before his gaze landed on Vicky.

After a few minutes which felt like hours I raised my voice, asking "Director Fury? What are you doing here?" He turned to me, sighing. "Sorry to barge in like this, it's just that...." he trailed off. "... I know Miss... Vancoghver, as well as her parents." I nodded asking if I should leave him with her which he politely requested, so I left the room making my way towards the hospital canteen. I don't want to leave until I know for sure that Vicky is alright.

*Vicky's POV*

I woke up with a start, gasping for breath as my hand found its way around my neck, holding it as I took deep breaths, greedily taking in as much air as my lungs could hold at a time. I felt someone rubbing my back in slow soothing circles, telling me to take deep breaths as I fought to keep oxygen in my lungs. As I calmed down, I tuned to the source of reassurance only to jump slightly out of my skin as I care face to face with Fury. Didn't I see him a few hours ago? What in God's name is he doing here again, and while I'm in the hospital under my civilian name. "Umm, hello?" I asked, taking a deep breath as my eyes met his one eye. "Vicky, enough of this running away, I know it's you." He sighed, his eyes looking relieved, as though the entire world had been set back into place as it should be. "H-How did you-" I stuttered, sitting up straighter, feeling the amulet slide into my lap before I grabbed it, tucking it into my shirt. "For one, the amulet isn't doing you any favors, and two- though you're disguise is very good, as you've learned from the best, I can still tell who my daughter is." He took a breath before adding on, "I also had a sneaking suspicion before hand and took a blood sample while you we're acting as Shadow before pin-pointing you to this location after you ended up here from a nasty poisoning". I glared at him, groaning in frustration. "There's a reason why I left you know, I hope you figured it out by now" I sighed, narrowing my eyes as I glared at him.

He groaned, running a hand over his head in frustration. "I know- I know, you didn't agree with how I was running Shield and decided to go solo, even getting a job with Stark under a false surname." I let out a breath adding onto his statement, "-and the fact that being your daughter added another target to my head, not exactly needed when you're the top agent in Shield, which I'm assuming Bart has taken over now?" A smirk formed on his face, as a laugh sprung from his lips. "He's still salty you left him in that position, thankfully he's gotten Nat to fall back on." At the name I grumbled a bit, "he got a new best friend while I was gone and totally forgot about me didn't he." Fury smirked once again, "He seemed quite enamored with Shadow though." I huffed, lowering my head so my hair hid the faint blush on my face. "Only because Shadow is a badass, I doubt he'd actually think of me in that way."

I turned to my father as the blush subdued, "So why are you here if you know I don't want to be found". He smiled kindly before speaking, "I want you to be a part of the Avengers, with Loki still wandering around, we need your... expertise..." I glared at him, "you mean the powers I've inherited from mom, the ones that are basically killing me on a daily bases." He frowned, a sad look in his eye. "I know. I don't want to you go through what your mother did, but we need you. You're the only one who can catch him. He has half of you're blood within him" I frowned, "and what would he think when the half sister he attempted to kill only moments ago reveals herself as such and sends him back to Asgard fro pay for his treason?" Nick sighed. "You know you sound just like you're mother." I replied with a soft, "I know..."

Soooo, I didn't end on a cliffhanger this time so I'll leave you off with the expectation of Shadow and the team joining up and the typical laughable events ensuing unless there's a dark twist, MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHA- *cough* *cough* god damn cat hair! Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed! Be sure to like, comment and follow!!! Hopefully the next update will be sooner than in a years time.
