After school, I took a quick trip to the library. I started on my research project that's due Friday before we leave for winter break.
It's a essay for history. After I did some research, I did my other homework. I'll start the essay tomorrow.
"Excuse me?"
"Yes?"
"Where are your pregnancy and parenting books?"
The lady gave me a funny look, "school project?"
"No. I'm pregnant with a baby."
"Aren't you a little to young for that?"
Huh? Did she just say that?
"I mean I guess, but things happens. You're a older lady, I'm sure you know teens have sex."
"Well. God said wait until marriage!"
"I know. I fell for temptation and now I'm here. It's no taking it back, so I'm accepting it."
"It's a such thing as abortion. Your ruining your life!"
She stated how God wants you to wait until marriage. Doesn't she know that's against God's rules too?
"Well it's a sin to abort your child as well ma'am!"
"Kids these days. Just sluts and whores!"
This old white women is about to get snapped like a snap back. Don't loose it Kady. Handle this with grace and dignity. Don't curse this women out.
"Excuse me ma'am? May I speak with your boss?"
She glared and called him. He came over.
"What's the problem ma'am?"
"Well I asked this women to direct me to the pregnancy and parenting books and she began questioning me on my reasoning. When I told her I was pregnant, she asked me about aborting my baby. She then practically called me a whore and a slut. I'm so offended, at least I'm trying," I said giving some fake crocodile tears.
"Mrs.Luise! What's wrong with you? Apologize now!"
"I'm sorry for my behavior ma'am," she said.
"I don't believe you are, but it's okay. I forgive you, no need to hold grudges right," I said wiping some of my tears away.
"I'm sorry as well ma'am! The books are on isle 5 to the left, 2nd self," he said while writing the exact number on a shelf for me.
"Thank you, mister!"
"And you, to my office immediately!"
I smirked while walking away. Never mess with a pregnant woman.
I went to the isle and looked through the books, it would be better to go buy some at the book store so I could write some notes in it.
What a waste of time, I sighed before leaving.
I picked up some books from the bookstore and then went to this baby store.
I walked through the isles in awe. I'm really going to be a mother.
"Hey," said a girl who was also looking at baby clothes, "are you alright?"
I was crying and I hadn't even noticed.
"Yeah, it's just so surreal."
"I know the feeling, I'm 5 months, I got a little girl on the way," she said.
"I'm having a boy. I didn't even know I was pregnant until recently," I said.
"Oh yeah? How'd the dad take it?"
"Well, not good. You?"
"Ran for the hills. My dad was so disappointed, he can't even look at me. Thinks my life is ruined," she said with a shrug.
"My mom thought the same before she accepted it. How old are you?"
"Im Lily, 16. I don't think I can do this," she said breaking down.
How am I always with people who break down?
"Hey, come on now. Don't give anybody the satisfaction of making you feel like you can't do this. You can. Your stronger than you think. I felt that way too, but I'm pushing on," I said rubbing her back.
"How old are you?"
"17, Kadence, nice to meet you," I said with a smile.
"No way! Your LivingDollKady! I watch you all the time, how did I not notice?"
"Well thanks for watching," I said.
"I can't believe your boyfriend did that to you, it was so wrong. My boyfriend just moved to the next one," she said starting back crying.
I wiped her tears, "he might have done you a favor. You don't need him. The only man you need is God, okay?"
She nodded, "hey I'm going to this evening teenage pregnancy group at 7:30. You should come."
"I just might do that, give me your phone," I said.
She handed me her phone and I put my number in.
"Text me the address okay? You can also call me if you need to talk or something. Us girls need to stick together," I said before hugging her.
I walked out of the store without buying a thing. I just wanted to go into the store, I had a feeling I needed to go in. Maybe it was for me to meet Lily. It's a reason for everything.
