C H A P T E R N I N E T E E NWith my attention all on the book I'm reading, a hand suddenly pulled it down. It was Jimin. My cheeks suddenly flushed afrer seeing him and a grin stretched on my lips. I couldn't look straight into his eyes as it drops and looks back at him a couple of times. His mesmerizing smile was messing up my mind. I'm mentally fucked up.
The grin on my face was getting wider and wider that it almost reached my ears. This moment felt like it's going by so slow and magical. How I wish to look at him every single day of my life like this. Things aren't just meant to be sometimes.
I most likely wouldn't get tired looking at his face every moment. That bangs that just falls smoothly on his face just makes him looks perfect. Those perfect jaws and beautiful pink lips. I slowly went back to my senses as he took his seat beside me with his back facing me rested his head on my lap.
This is like the same scene back then when we were at the gymnasium. My heart beated rapidly once again while he looks up to me with the same beautiful grin that just makes me melt. I need a fan. Hyun Ji. If she broke up with Jimin, why was she glaring at me as if she was jealous or something just now?
'Jimin, you and Hyun Ji broke up if I'm not mistaken.' I started.
'Yeah. We did. Why?' he asked.
'Nothing.' I said and covered my face with my book. He took it from me and placed on top of his stomach.
'Stop reading, will ya? Talk to me.' he pouted.
'What do we even have to talk about?' I questioned in a lazy tone.
'I don't know. Anything. We have alot to cope up. For sure alot has happened when I spent all my time with Hyun Ji and left you.' he said and got up from my lap.
I fell silent, not wanting to talk or spill anything that had happened before we had fixed things back to how it was. It's such a hard thing to tell him who and what I really am. Though it was a piece of cake for Taehyung to take it in, I'm pretty sure Jimin can't handle to accept that his girl bestfriend is a monster.
He started poking my cheeks though that I didn't budge or slap his hand away, he stopped. I guess my bothered facial expression bothered him too. My lips then slowly twitched into a small fake smile. With his eyes staring at me, a playful smile curved on my lips.
It's time to call him the name which he never liked since before. The name that crushes his ego in girls and which annoys him so much.
'Jimin, the damsel in distress.' I teased.
'Hey! I told you to never call me that! I'm not a damsel in distress!' he spat and frowned.
'Mind explaining who was about to die just now.' I crossed my arms.
He leaned nearer which caught me off guard since my head has been leaning against the tree.
'I know you'd be there anyway.' he smirked.
'Did you finally admit that you're a damsel in distress?' I giggled nervously.
'No. I didn't. It doesn't really matter if I am anyway. If I faint or get knocked out, I'm pretty sure you'd be there to carry me.' he said and seductively bit his lower lip before moving away from me.
So hot.
'I-I'm not c-carrying you again! You're heavy!' I stuttered.
'Sure I am.' he snickered and pinched my nose before standing up.
'Do you want food? They're having barbecue there.' he pointed at the other groups a few metres in front of us.
'Sure.' I nod. He turned his heel from me and jogged to take food. Someone's presence beside me suddenly made me flinch. Hyun Ji. Here comes trouble, huh.
I ignored her and pretended that I didn't see her there by taking my book and opening it to the page I left. She stood infront of me, towering me and blocking the sunlight.
'That's very kind of you, Hyun Ji to block the sunlight for me.' I said, full of sarcasms.
'Stop playing dumb with me. You know the game.' she crossed her arms. I stood up to and looked around to see Jimin around but saw him busy with the barbecue with his brothers. 'Do you like Jimin?'
'What's it to you, Hyun Ji?' I asked and furrowed a brow. 'You broke up with him anyway.'
'Listen her, misfit.' she stated.
Misfit? How dare she call me that?!
'Ever since you came here, Jimin and his brothers had became closer to you and they had been speaking highly of you.' she continued and paused for a few seconds.
'Jimin and I may have broken up but everything will be back to how it used it to be which means th---'
'I know what it means, Hyun Ji. I'm not dumb like you.' I cut her off and rolled my eyes at her.
I saw that she was about to raise her hand to slap me instead clenched her fist and took a deep breath.
'I just want to remind you, Jimin's mine. You're nothing compared to me. I know you like him. I can see it in your eyes.' she spat with a smirk which gave me a pang in my heart.
'Like I said, you're nothing compared to me. Jimin will never feel the same way as you do.
You'll always stay as friends. Nothing more.' she glared at me and turned her heel before walking away. Her words rang inside my ears. I didn't even realize that I had held my breath. The pain in my chest was getting more painful. How she said everything in such a straigh forward way was so painful.
It hurts like hell.
