The Girl in The White Dress

Ch.2

My stomach growls while I watch my favorite t.v show, I roll over in bed to check the time on my clock and sigh. It's 9:26 right now, and I'm too tired to get up and go drive to get food so i pick up my phone to order pizza. The best option every time. After a few rings a man picks up the phone and I tell him my order. He says the food will be here in about thirty minutes so I decide to get up and walk to my kitchen to get something to drink while I wait. I hear a knock on my door and sigh, who would be here this late? I walk to my door and look through the peephole and see that it's Alex. I open the door and she walks in. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I ask. "I don't know, I was bored so I decided to hang with you, if that's okay?" She says. "Yeah it's fine, I just ordered pizza a few minutes ago, so it should be here soon." I let her know. She smile and rubs her hands together. "Looks like I came at the right time!" She says. I laugh at her and go sit on my couch. She sits next to me and grabs the T.v remote and turns on an old rerun of friends. "I love this show so much." She says and I nod. "Me to." I say. Morris jumps up on the couch between us and sets his head on my lap. I pet his head and he begins to pur. "So, is there any sort of theme for this ball?" I ask her. "No, just a nice dress would be fine. Did you pick out your dress?" She asks. I nod my head and she looks over at me. "Ooh, can I see it?" She asks. I nod my head and stand up from the couch to go to my room. I push the door open and walk over to my closet to grab the dress. Alex walks over next to me and smiles. "That's so cute! How come I've never seen it before?" She asks. "I've never really worn it, except once. And that was like last year." I say. "Oh, true. Have you picked out the shoes too?" She asks. "Yeah, they're sandals." She gasps. "Bitch, that dress is too pretty to wear sandals with!" She says. I laugh at her. "Why don't you wear the cute white ones?" She asks. "Because they hurt me." I say. "Beauty hurts!" She laughs. "Fine, whatever I'll wear them." I say. She nods her head. "Good. Now show me what you look like in that dress!" She says. I sigh and take my clothes off to try on my dress for her. She gasps once it's on and I laugh at her. "Woah girl, you look hot!" She says. "Thanks, I try." I laugh. The doorbell rings and I walk over to my door, checking the peephole and see it's the pizza guy. I open the door and he looks at me like I'm crazy. I laugh. "I'm going to a ball tomorrow, I tried this on to show my friend." I tell him. Alex peeps her head beside me and waves at the guy. "Well you look great." He says with a light blush. He's a younger guy, probably like sixteen or seventeen. "Thankyou" I laugh and grab the pizza. "That'll be twenty dollars and forty nine cents. He says, handing me the receipt. I walk inside and set the pizza down to grab my purse. I pull out a twenty with a few extra dollars and a five for a tip. I walk back over to the door and hand him the money and his tip. "enjoy your food" he says trying to hand me the change, I shake his offer and he smiles. "Thankyou" he says, I nod and wave one last time with a smile as I shut the door when he turns to leave. I walk to my room to change out of my dress in efforts to avoid pepperoni stains before I get to even wear it a second time. I walk back into the kitchen to grab a plate with some pizza on it. Alex and I sit on the couch and watch t.v. "You got a compliment from the pizza guy." She says with a laugh. "Yeah, he was adorable about it." I say. "You look like a mess too, imagine when your makeup is all done, and your hair too. Girl, your gonna look hot as fuck." She says and I laugh. I take a bite of my pizza and sigh In content. "This is so good." I say. She nods. "Yeah it is. What pizza place was that?" She asks. "Jeffries pizza" I say. "I'm gonna order from them." She says. I nod. After we finish our pizza,  I put the pizza box in the fridge. we sit back down in the living room and talk for a bit. I feel myself getting tired, I yawn and as if she read my mind, Alex says she's tired too, it's around eleven now so she gets up to leave. I walk her out and watch t.v again until my eyes start falling shut. I turn the t.v off and go to my room. I lay in bed and reach over to shut my lamp off and go to sleep.
