Next time your out at night,
listen to the moon,
do you hear his sorrowful tune?
He is a selfless thing
he listens to you,
he hears you weep
because you can't sleep,
and he ignores himself
to make her feel better
as she sleeps in his sweater
his warm gaze is always there to comfort
he goes away in the morn'
to make sure the sun is always reborn
but there were 3 days every once and a while
that he went to see his lover smile
she left him for another man
it was like being hit with Rapunzels pan
the pain was unbearable
it hurt to grieve
and that was when he started to beleive
the pain of loss is a powerful thing
it stabs your heart with a powerful sting
the moon took comfort in a young girl
her curly blond hair would poof like a whirl
she was just as selfless as he
but she wouldnt let him be
she talked and talked till the sun came up
not expecting an answer
He spent countless nights
Listening to her frights,
Her hopes, her dreams...
Much to the girls astonishment
A dove came to her with a parchment
Inside was a neclace of silver and gold
Around her pale neck it stood out bold
It was a gift from the moon,
As he looked down at her in delight
All her fears washed away, she was no longer filled with fright!
In this story there is a lesson
You can listen to the moons teachings if you choose.
