Shouyou never thought it would happen so soon; the chase, he meant. As planned, he wore his gang's uniform in public, and it didn't take long before the White Crows began to follow him.
There were 5 of them, watching him like birds of prey. He recognized some of them: Ryu, his senpai; Kageyama, his volleybal partner; and Kuroo, the Crows' leader. The one whom seemed to be his superior's nemesis.
At this rate, Shouyou really wanted to run, but even now he had to wait for orders.
He knew his job well, to act as a decoy while everyone finished the final preparations. Why him? He was the fastest, the one who always attracts attentions easily, and his face wasn't known yet.
Shouyou sighed in relief as he heard some static from his earpiece.
"Kenma-san?" he called out, hoping for a quick reply. He received one.
'I take it they found you?'
"Yes, 5 in total. Kuroo, Ryu, my friend Kageyama, and 2 others."
'Alright. Return to the hideout.' Shouyou really wanted to do that, but he's well aware of the risk.
"But they're following me! What if-..."
'It doesn't matter. Just get back here, Shouyou.'
He let out a deep breath. It wasn't that surprising, actually. Kenma never gave out much details, but in the end, almost nothing goes wrong.
"Okay. I'm on my way now."
Shouyou began to jog, leaving the crowded streets. Even as the newest member, he knew the tricks. Hide in the crowds, run through the alleyways, he had learned ways and ways to escape and avoid many things.
It wasn't that he couldn't take care of it. He has a gun, and he's used to street fighting, not to mention he had snipers watching him, making sure the Crows won't hurt him.
Well, the real problem is, he almost can't outrun them. To be more specific, Kageyama's speed rivaled his.
"He's abnormally fast!" a distant voice commented. Shouyou cringed, and turned slightly to sneak a glance at his pursuer.
Only Kuroo and Kageyama managed to keep up so far.
"I know this sounded strange, Kuroo-san, but he felt awfully familiar. At least the way he moved, that number '10' in front of us," Kageyama stated, before he called out to him.
"Oi! Dumbass!" Shouyou almost lost his balance.
He fastened his pace, now trying to focus on going back as soon as possible.
"Dumbass Hinata! I know it's you, idiot!" He flinched. So harsh, "No one will be that clumsy! You almost tripped just hearing that! Oi, Hinata!"
The orange-haired male let out a huff. Just a little while before he's safe. He could already see the hideout, and he was grateful for that.
As he reached the gate, he stopped, just for a few seconds. He wanted to just told Kageyama everything, but probably it's too late now.
Shouyou took a deep breath, before he grabbed the metal railings, and jumped over the gate. As he ran into the building, he could still hear the voice trying to stop him.
"Hinata! I know it's you! Stop this!"
'Sorry, Kageyama...' Shouyou closed the backdoor, and walked upstairs, 'There's not much that I can do now.'

Kuroo stared at the old abandoned building in front of him. He couldn't help but to feel at least a bit uneasy, as he waited for the reinforcements.
"This place doesn't look friendly at all..." Kageyama muttered all of a sudden.
"Do you think we should enter?" Kuroo asked back.
"Yes, but after everyone arrived. Can you pick the lock, Kuroo-san?"
Kuroo frowned, grabbing the padlock and examined it for a while, "Do you have any paperclip?"
Kageyama reached into his pocket and pulled out what he needed, and Kuroo began to work on it.
"Will we be alright, Kuroo-san? I mean, with Oikawa-san, and probably Asahi-san, too..."
"And not mentioning anyone else we don't know yet," Kuroo added, "Yes, we'll be fine. At least, we should be. I didn't choose you all randomly, I know what you're capable of. So I believe in you."
Kageyama let out a sigh. Kuroo turned to him, and gave him a reassuring look.
"Besides... I no longer intend to kill them... I just want to lock them up. I'm not that cruel."
