Chapter 21: How The Fuck Am I Suppose To Tell Him!?

*Jessie's POV*

"FUCK" I screamed

"I take it you're pregnant..." Lucy say

I nodded. I fell to my knees and began to ball my eyes out. I kept mumbling:

"My life is over" or "He's gonna leave me..."

Both Lucy and Levy had their arms around me, telling me it was gonna be okay. An hour later, I finally stopped crying.

"M-Maybe the tests were wrong! You said it yourself Levy, they mess up some times!"

"Yeah, but not 3. I'm sorry, Jessie." she said

*2 months later. Laxus' POV*

I sat quietly at my table with the rest of my team. Jessie been acting so weird the last 2 months. Everytime I ask her if something's wrong, she says no and tells me to drop it. She's been kinda distant lately. I've been thinking about talking to Freed and Bixslow about this, but something tells me they won't be much help. That only leaves one person, Evergreen.

"Hey, Ever. Can I talk to you about something? Alone." I ask

She looks at me with confusion.

"Uh....yeah. Sure."

We both get up and walk out of the guild. We decided to take a walk in the forest behind the guildhall.

"There's something wrong with Jessie.."

"What'd you mean? What's wrong with her?"

"I don't know... She won't tell me. Everytime I ask her if something's wrong, she says no and tells me to drop it. She's been so distant lately as well." I explained

"She hasn't been talking to me either. Actually, she hasn't been to the guildhall is awhile."

"I know. I'm worried that she's gonna break up with me... Maybe she doesn't love me anymore..."

"Laxus! Don't say that! She does love you! Maybe you should talk to Lucy and Levy. She's been pretty close with them lately. So, maybe they know what's wrong."

"Okay. Thanks, Ever."

We walk back to the guild and I walked towards Lucy. She was sitting at the bar alone.

"Hey. Can I talk to you?" I said, sitting down beside her

"Uh... Yeah. What's up?"

"How about you tell me. Why is Jessie being so distant towards me? What did I do? And don't say 'I don't know what your talking about' because you do. So, please! Tell me what I did so, I can make it right!" I begged

"Laxus.... If she hasn't told you.... It's not my place to be the one to tell you. Jessie should and she will. Once she's ready. Just give her time and let it sink in."

My eyes began to burn. Tears began form.

"So, I was right. She gonna leave me... "

Her eyes flickered up and met mine.

"Laxus, that's not i-"

I didn't give her time to finish her sentence. I ran out of the guild as fast as I could. I ran and ran down the street's of Magnolia. Tears threatening to fall down my face. When suddenly...

BAM!

I ran in to someone. I look over to who I ran into and there stood Sting from Sabor Tooth.

"Oh shit! Sorry Laxus, I didn't see yeah there."

I open my mouth to response, but nothing came out. His smile went away.
