Keith spent the next few hours working in the bakery, decorating cakes and labeling packaging. They'd just gotten in a new shipment of the logo stickers for sealing boxes, and the printed bags for cookies and loaves of bread.

Hunk stopped in for a few minutes in order to drop off the dinosaur cookie cutter, apologizing profusely to Allura as he did so.

She didn't seem to mind too much, Keith noted, but probably would've had they needed to use it. This was her business, and she ran it very professionally. The bakery was her passion, and honestly it was never a dull day for her here. In some ways, Keith was unsure of how she could even stand to be here- the Altean originally was her father's business. Keith still wasn't sure of the whole story, and knew that Allura didn't care to bring it up, but she'd been in an accident when she was younger and ended up in a medically induced coma. Her father, however, had not survived, and, of course, she had no knowledge of this until she'd awoken. She'd never been able to give him a proper goodbye.

Her mother had died when she was very young, and as such, she understood full well what Keith had gone through for the first fourteen years of his life, living without a proper family.

He figured that there was really quite a bit for them to bond over, but in a way, she always seemed a little... distant. She was always kind, if a little set in her ways, but she just wasn't... open in the way that Shiro was.
