Truth Be Told

Chapter 2

We finally got to the house after about 3 hours later because Stormie wanted to take me shopping and she got me a whole new wardrobe. When I walked in the door, there was two boys sitting on the living room couch playing call of duty ghosts and they seemed too zoned out to even realize you walked in.

Stormie came in looked at her boys and said,"Boys aren't you gonna introduce yourselves to Angela? After all she is going to be here for a VERY long time."

The tall blonde got up and and said," hey I'm Riker the eldest and this is my younger brother Ross." He pointed over to the young muscular blonde boy.

"Hey." Ross said shortly kinda nervous.

"Nice to meet you Ross and Riker." I replied smiling.

Stormie came in the room from the kitchen and looked at Riker." Where is everyone else?" She asked looking around.

"Well Rocky and Ryland is at Ellington's house watching a movie he just got. The reason we didn't go is because we already seen it and we didn't want to ruin it for them." Riker answered.

"And Rydel?"

"She's upstairs getting her room ready for Angela."

I zoned out through the rest of the conversation looking at Ross. He barely spoke and according to what Stormie said in the car he was a blabbermouth. He always talked even if its no where near the conversation that were having. Now he just sat silently and looked at us. Every once in a while he would look at me with a blank expression. Does he not like me? Do I make him nervous? And if I do why? These questions ran through my head over and over again. What was going through this boys mind?

All of a sudden someone waved their hand in my face snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked over to see who it was and I see a blonde girl around my age smiling at me. She mustve been Rydel since she was the only other girl around here.

"Hello you in there?" She giggled making me giggle too. "I'm Rydel by the way you must be Angela." She said hugging me.

"Yes and I can't wait to spend time with you."

"Aww neither can I. Hey you wanna go shopping?" She asked eagerly.

"Uhh your mom took me shopping already and got me enough stuff."

"Nonsense you'll never have enough shopping done." She said making us both laugh.

"If you insist." I said heading for the door.

I looked over at Ross one last time to see that same blank expression. I sighed before going to the car.

***4 hours later***

We went into every store inside the mall and now our hands were full of bags. We had to put some bags in the car when our hands got full about 8 times. She told me its because we need to get ready for fashion this year and were redecorating her well our room. We were getting something to eat at the food court. Rydel was telling a story when her phone rang. She got a call from I think one of her siblings. She was quick to talking and then hanging up to get back to me.

"Who was that?" I asked curiosity getting the best of me.

" Ohh it was just Ross saying we have to hurry before mom gets worried."

" He's a lot different than how your mom explained him." I couldn't help but blurt out.

"How so?"

"I don't know she said he was always talking and outgoing but when I got there he didn't do anything but have a blank face." I explained to her.

"Well he usually is I wouldn't know why he acted like that. He never did that before. I guess well have to run with the flow." She shrugged as she got up to throw the food tray away.

We got home and this time everyone was there. As soon as I walked in I got squished in more hugs. I met Rocky, Ryland, Mark, and even Ellington. They were all nice. We sat down to watch a movie when I realized Ross wasn't there. I was about to ask where he was when Rydel ended up asking instead.

" oh he went to Calums. I don't think he wanted to be here for movie night. I don't know why though he loves movie night." Riker answered while putting the movie in.

Your phone rung before it started so you went outside to answer it.

"Hey"................"yea so far everything is going as planned".............."the only one that I seem to be having a problem with is Ross"..........."he just doesn't seem to warm up to me yet"............."don't worry I'll handle it............bye." with that I hung up and went inside to watch the movie with the rest. I didn't know how I was suppose to warm up to him. The whole time I was thinking of all sorts of ways.
