Chapter 8: The story

"Ok let's go look the house first." I said. We went all the corners, posts, and rooms but we have no idea where she is. While Jake was looking inside, I looked outside and saw a red bow clip in the front door. I remembered that Lily went in the house with the red bow clipped in her blonde hair. I grab the red bow clip and went outside and ask a person that stand in front of his house.

"Hello sir. Do you saw a girl about this high and have a blonde hair." I said putting my hand one inch away in top my head.

"I saw a lot of girls with blonde hair and that high walking in this street. Do you have any picture of her?"the neighbor said.

"Yes. I have a picture of her. Please wait for a minute." I said getting my phone in my pocket. I looked at the photos, finding the picture Jake send to me. "Here sir." I said giving my phone to the man. It was a picture of Jake and Lily together in a restaurant.

"Oh her. She went there. He was with a man in a brown hair."the man said pointing in the left and giving my phone to me.

"Thank you sir. By the way, why are you awake in the midnight?" I said getting my phone.

"I was waiting for my son to arrive from a party."the man said.

"Ohh. Ok. Bye sir. Thank you again." I said waving my hand while I'm walking.

"Bye."the man said waving his hand.

I went the left. I walked up to the edge of a dark forest and saw a bracelet in the street. Then, I remembered that Lily was wearing a bracelet just like the one I saw now in the street. I grab the bracelet, went in the forest, and saw a big castle covered with branches, leaves, trees, and more. I went inside and saw a queen sitting in her throne. It looks like the queen has been waiting for me. The Queen wore a green dress.

"Hello Rose."the Queen said.

"How do you know my name and what had done to Lily?" I asked.

"I know you were coming to save your brother's girlfriend."the Queen said pointing at her right. I saw Lily laying in a cage.

"How dare you." I said angrily.

"How dare me? You should say how dare Lily's mother."the Queen said.

"Why? What does Lily's mother done to you?" I asked.

"Are you expecting that I will tell you the story?"the Queen asked," guards, put this girl in the cage with the princess." The guards went to the room and get me and throw me in the cage. The evil queen went to the hallway and was gone.

"Get me out of here." I shouted.

"There's no use." Lily said.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"No. I have a cut over here." Lily said showing her shoulder.

"These are the things I saw before I went here."I said giving the bracelet and the red bow clip,"by the way what is the story that the evil queen was saying, Lily?" I asked.

"It happened a long time ago, my mother was a queen on the east of the world. My mother bragged that she was the most beautiful woman in the whole world. Then, Nicole hear it. Nicole was the Queen of beauty. She was created by God to bring love to others. Nicole hear it and asked the King of the universe to cast many catastrophe disasters to the town where I live. Many of the citizens died so my mother apologize to Nicole. Nicole said that I should be sacrificed to end the problem my mother caused. After my mother told me that, I went out and never come back in the palace so Nicole was furious and told her guards to find me. I went to a field and there, your brother saw me and was in love. Now the guards saw me, they kidnapped me in your house and bring me here." Lily said.

"So that queen is Nicole." I said.

Lily nodded.

"Ok... How should we able to escape here? This cage is made up of thick branches." I asked.

"Who is your father?" Lily asked.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just answer." Lily said.

"My father is Mike." I said.

"What!" Lily said with a surprise.

"Yeah." I said.

"Your father is the King of the world. He has the power do anything." Lily explained," you must be the one who is your father gave the throne."

"What throne?" I asked

"His throne is in that." Lily said pointing my amulet.

"That's why my father gave this amulet to me before he passed away." I said.

"You can use the power in the amulet to free us here." Lily said.

"But how?" I asked.

"I don't know. Try it." Lily said.

I tried it and saw the amulet was glowing. Then I embraced the power and the cage broke into half. We run out from the forest to the house.

"It's already 6am." I said.

"Really?" Lily said.

"Yeah... We need to go home now." I said.

"Let's go." Lily said. We ran to my house and saw Jake sleeping in the couch.

"Now what should we do? Wake up Jake and say the whole story or go to the room and sleep and say you were just in the bathroom." I asked.

"I choose the second." Lily said,"let's go to your room before your mother or brothers found out." We went to my room and slept. After an hour, I woke up and went to the bathroom. After I bathed and changed, I saw Lily woke up. I waited Lily to finish and went downstairs and saw mom serving the food and Jake was still asleep. We ate cereal.

"Mom, I need to go now." I said.

"Ok honey. Bye." Mom said.

"Can I come too?" Lily said.

"Sure." I said.

"Bye you two." Mom said.

"Bye." Lily and I said.

We started walking.

"Where are you going and why do you have a guitar?" Lily asked.

"Me and my friends joined in the band in our school. Me and Christine are the guitarist. Diana is the drummer while Clair is the singer. We always practice at Christine's house. Later we will compete." I said.

"Ohh... Who are Christine, Diana, and Clair?" Lily asked.

"Later I will show you." I said.
