Updates and Intentions

Chapter Two

A/N: If you're reading this, be sure to thank @birdybird1413 for this chapter. She is the only person (what a surprise....) to be persistently bugging me and quite literally shaking me by the shoulders and demanding updates. Fangirls, am I right? Just kidding! Love you guys!

Olivia POV

I walked into yet another compartment where I found older years snogging.

Geez, would these people keep their snogfests to themselves?

So here I was, running (literally) from compartment to compartment, searching for one with out stupid freaking lovebirds in it.

After about five more compartment checks, I stumbled upon a compartment of girls who were (thankfully) not snogging. This was all I could process before one of the girls screamed bloody murder, then turned and looked up at me.

I wasn't, in fact, mad, but my surprised face is said to look intimidating.

The girl who screamed then gulped. Approximately five seconds later, I broke into a grin and laughed. "Why so Sirius?"

The girls in the compartment all let out sighs of relief. I decided that since they weren't snogging (obviously), and I needed a place to sit, that I would ask to sit here with them. "Hey, can I sit with you guys?"

The girl sitting by the window who was clutching "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" like her life depended on it spoke up. "But w-why would you want to sit with u-us? Wouldn't you r-rather sit with your f-friends?"

"My friends?" I snorted. "I'm glad you think that I have amazing friends who would think to sit with me instead of sucking each others faces off, but unfortunately I do not. They're Slytherins, and honestly they couldn't care less about me unless I won the lottery."

The girl with chocolate smeared all over her face seemed to get an idea. "Sure, we'll let you sit with us-but on one condition," she said with a devilish smirk.

Whatever this girl was going to ask for, I could most likely give her. She was probably just going to ask for more chocolate frogs anyways.... "What do you want?"

"I want--" she began but was cut off by the announcements coming on with a smooth click. "All students not dressed in their black uniform are now to dress, we will be arriving at Hogwarts in twenty minutes. Again, all students not wearing in the appropriate robe attire must now get dressed. Thank you."

The three girls stood up and began to collect their stuff to dress out into. I then remembered that I had no idea what their names were. "I don't think we've been properly introduced. My name is Olivia, you can call me Liv if you want." "Oh yeah, that's right! My name is Lauren," said the girl who screamed, who was noticeably much taller than the other two. "Meh name is Tara, call me anything else and I kill you," stated the chocolate-faced girl. "And I'm Rori, you can call me Ro if it's easier." said the book girl shyly.

"Okay so: Tara is the one with blonde hair and an obvious chocolate obsession; Lauren is the one who screamed at me and likes music based on the earbuds; and Rori is the one who's been sitting in the corner quietly, clutching "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" like it's her lifeline. Easy enough," I clarified.

Tara snickered at the comment about Rori's book lifeline but Rori simply ignored it and smiled down at the big book like it was her boyfriend. I wouldn't say it to her face, but it probably was. (A/N: Yes, I pretty much just roasted myself.) Lauren simply put one earbud back into her ear and got up to change.

"Yeah, you guys better change before we arrive," I commented. "We will," Tara said, annoyed. "Where did you get that Slytherin badge thingy? I totally am gonna be a Slytherin and I want one of those." Tara asked. I laughed at her confidence. She probably was though. If she wasn't about a foot shorter than me and a first year, I would be scared of her. Siriusly.

"It appears on all of your robes once you're sorted. Don't worry, you'll all get them."

Tara was the last one still in the compartment. "You better go hurry and change before we get there, otherwise you won't get this cool Slytherin symbol!" I hastily made up so she would go and get ready.

Her eyes widened and she picked up all of her stuff and hurried up and out the door. I had to do my best to not laugh as she waddled to the door while trying to shove yet another chocolate frog in her mouth.

Once all three of them were back, I got a great idea. "Hey, wanna have a sleepover tonight after the sorting and the feast? I mean, we don't have class until Monday. Usually we get here on a Friday, but this year we're here on a Wednesday because they wanted to try something new. So basically, we have four more days after today to settle in."

Tara nodded in agreement. "If I don't have any plans, which I might, since I am obviously so very social." Lauren said sarcastically. Rori looked nervous. "But we only just met, why don't we just settle in for a few days and if we're still friends then we can hangout then? Yeah, that sounds like a reasonabl---" Rori didn't get to finish her sentence because Lauren interjected. "No Rori, don't ruin it! I know we only just met, but it will still be a lot of fun. Plus, if you're that nervous anyways, you can bring along another friend that you already knew!" Lauren suggested. "Not a bad idea," I commented, "why don't we all bring another friend along too? I mean they might not get along, but we can probably keep them in line. Right?" There were three nods of agreement.

So it was settled. Tonight we would meet at the black lake at 8pm, an hour after the feast ended, so everyone could find their way there and have all their stuff ready for tonight. From there, we would all walk to the Room of Requirements and have our sleepover!

Okay, so I was all mopey like "uhhh my crappy story only got like 10 reads uhhhh" and then @birdybird1413 brought it to my attention that this story has over 50 reads! OMG guys!!!! People care about what I do in life (for once)!!!! Haha.

So, I have to go somewhere in roughly half an hour, but I will try and start writing the next chappie right now. So stay tuned for more! Or not! I'm honestly not sure.

I know how crappy my writing is and how few people actually take the time to read through dumb things like the character list and the cover info chapter, but I would really appreciate it if you took another five minutes of your spare time to do so.

Also, I updated the character list so that Kaci is a half-blood, because someone brought it to my attention that it made no sense for Kaci to be a Muggle born when her sister is a half-blood. So yeah.
