About a month later

It's now November 21, and Margret gets Amy from her apartment. Shaker will meet them in a few hours at the hospital. It's 2:00 P.M, the baby should be born around 5:00, if all goes well. Amy has her suitcase with her. Amy is unpacking everything in her hospital room. Mostly she has candles, clothes, a stero and music. Amy gets the medication at 4:00 P.M. "Amy, is the father here? Will he be in the delivery room?" Dr. Happy asks. "No, it's just me." Amy replies, smiling.

Amy POV

I didn't want Ricky here. I chose this. I chose New York. I chose to let everything end this way. I chose to not raise my daughter, I could if I wanted to but I don't think I ever can. I need to talk to Margret. She doesn't know about anything that has happened since I've been in New York. I've gone through so much alone. I'm a stronger person, then I was, when I was fifteen.

It's 4:30 P.M and Amy asked Margret to let her go into the delivery room alone, she agreed. Before Amy goes into the delivery room Margret tells Amy that Ricky, John and Shaker should be  at the hospital when Amy gets to her room again. Amy smiles at Margret. Then Amy is wheeled into the delivery room, at 4:58 P.M Amy's baby girl is born. Amy gets a picture of the baby and herself and sends it out to Grace, Ricky, Margret and Nora. The baby gets a 9 on the Apgar scale, this is to tell the health of the baby.

At 5:30 Amy is back in her room, with her and Ricky's daughter. "Mommy, I have a baby sister!!!" A very happy John screams, coming into her room. "How'd it go, Amy?" Margret and Shaker ask in unison. "All is well, Hope, is a very healthy happy girl." Amy announces. Amy turns on her CD and puts on "Stand by Me" by Ben King on.

When the night has come

And the land is dark

And the moon is the only light we'll see

No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid

Just as long as you stand, stand by me

So darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me

Oh stand by me, stand by me

If the sky that we look upon

Should tumble and fall

Or the mountains should crumble to the sea

I won't cry, I won't cry, no I won't shed a tear

Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me

Oh stand now by me, stand by me, stand by me-e, yeah

And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me

Oh, stand now by me, stand by me, stand by me-e, yeah

Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me, oh now now stand by me

Oh stand by me, stand by me

Oh stand by me, stand by me

"Shaker, can you take John outside, I need to talk to Margret." Amy asks Shaker.  "Of course, Amy."  Shaker says smiling. Amy tries to smile but she fails, considering what has happened to her. "Margret, I don't think we can do this. There are things you don't know. I'm not sure I should be part of my kids' lives." Amy explains that she can't tell Ricky, and she explains the things Margret and Shaker don't know. "Honestly, only Ben knows. Hope is healthy that's all the matters." Amy says. "I think you need to tell Ricky this, he is the father, if you decide not to be part of John's life or Hope's I think Ricky has every right to know why. I know it's your business but it is in a way Ricky's as well considering you have two kids together." Margret says. "I'll tell Ricky eventually, but I can't right now. I'm not handling all this well myself." Amy says. "We will figure all this out Amy. None of this is your fault." Margret tries to console Amy. "If I hadn't called off the wedding and moved, I would have been safely with Ricky, so yeah it is my fault. I just can't face Ricky." Amy explains how she feels.

An hour later Amy is asleep. Margret, Shaker, Ricky and John are in the hospital room with a sleeping Amy and Hope is in Ricky's arms. Amy wakes up to see Ricky holding his daughter. Two days later Amy and Hope can go home. Ricky stays for the next week, to look after Amy. He still doesn't know what's going on with Amy.

Don't worry it won't be long, now. We will know what is going on with Amy around Christmas.
