She looked beautiful.

She wore short red but modern and fashionable kimono, which was contrasted by her blood red lipstick.

Karai really was quite beautiful, I now see what Leo saw all along.

"I'm glad you made it."

I said causally sliding into the seat beside her.

I doubted she would even show up, but I needed to talk to her.

She swiveled back around and gazed back into the ring.

"A strange package arrives, with a Ticket to circus of all places. With a note that only said "see you tonight"

And signed with a emerald green R.

How could I resist?"

She picked the piece of paper out of her pocket and held it up.

The note I had sent her earlier.

I just shrugged nonchalantly.

"I knew it was you who sent this."

She squinted her eyes at me.

"What, the Giant green R give me away?"

I said with major "duh".

This girl needs some serious lightening up.

"Oh and a "hi Roxanne, Glad to see you survived." Would have been nice."

She rolled her eyes.

"What do you want from me?"

She asked with slight ice in her voice.

I slumped back into my seat, decided that this was not the time for sarcasm, Karai suspects betrayal around every corner, she could think that this is a trap, what she needed was just some blunt honesty.

"I just wanted to say thank you."

Her scowl disappeared, replaced by shock, with just a hint of disbelief and curiosity.

"For what?"

"For doing whatever it is you did to help the Turtles get me out of there.

If it wasn't for that, I doubt we would have made it, and they would have had to leave me behind, or worse been killed trying to keep me safe.

I would have been captured by the Kraang, they would have cut me open, experimented on me, and probably used my blood as fuel for their ships. It wouldn't have been pretty, and I just needed to tell you that face to face."

Her face softened.

Then she broke my gaze to stare down at the contortionists that were performing down in the ring.

"You saved my life, it was a debt to be paid, we are even now."

"You didn't have to, you could have easily captured me, and just handed me over to the Kraang."

She bit her lip, pausing for a second.

"A Saki always pays there debts."

Boy, little does she know...

"But still, thank you.

Now I can be here talking to you, and not strapped down and dissected in some Lab."

"Why did you do it, why did you save me, you almost killed yourself?!"

Her words came out quickly, and she finally took her eyes off the ring and met mine, they begged for an answer.
