IGTSS part 16- It's A Deal

"I'm sorry to say, but Luke is being suspended today." The principal tries to look sad, though I swear she has a hint of happiness in her eyes.

"What!?" Luke and I say at the same time.

"What did he do?!" I ask her.

"Luke has always shown bad behaivor and today was out of line. He got into a fight with another boy." Well obviously he wouldn't have gotten into a fight with a girl.

"Luke!" I glance at him. He turns towards me revealing the black eye he was hiding.

"He provoked me!" He hollars back. "He was saying bad things about my mom." I didn't miss the word 'my.'

"This boy will be suspended as well I assume," I direct the question at the prinicipal.

"Well you see Luke was the first to throw a punch." She gives me a stern look.

"I know school policies. Whoever Gets in a fight no matter what the circumstance is both students will be punished." Judging by Luke's black eye this kid wasn't weak, so I don't feel bad.

"The mother will be giving him a talking to, that I am sure of." She says with confidence.

"I don't care, that is hardly fair!" I raise my voice. "I want the child's name and want to see if there was even damage towards him."

"That is not necessary Ms. Lancaster." Her eyes flash with anger.

"And how is that not?!" What is with this chick?

"It's because he is her son," Luke sneers.

"Hold your tongue boy," she snaps. You have got to be kidding me.

"Luke can you wait in the hall for a minute." He glances at me. "Don't worry I got this." I give him a wink. I wait until he is outside. " Now Mrs." I pause and glance down at her name tag. "Brown, unless you want this situation to get any worse then it already is, I suggest you have both boys suspended." I give a tight smile.

"Are you threatening me, Ms. Lancaster." She sits back in her chair. Do I look threatening?

"Not at all, I am mearly saying unless justice is serve. This situation will not go so well." I swear I'm not trying to threaten her.

"I really don't see were this is going?" Is she stupid or something?"

"Her is the bottom line, if you don't suspend your boy just as long as my brother." I pause. "I will call the school board tell them situation and possibly get you fired. I will sue the school, take it to court and you will be fired. I will call the cops as soon as I step outside this office, to come make a report and then have them check your child to see if he has any marks. I will then take my brother to the hospital and check out the bruise and make sure his eye will be fine, then make sure you pay the bill in court. I hear the hospital charges a lot. Especially if they have supply painkillers, do some exams, make him take a concussion test. Do a full body scan just to make sure nothing else is bruised or broken." If this lady knew law I will be in trouble, because I won't be able to make her pay a bill. I know they can both be punished and she could be fired. I don't even know if half the things I said was true. I am speaking out of my butt if anything.

After she stares at me for a good ten seconds, she falls for it. "You made your point both boys shall be suspended."

"Not so fast I want to speak to your vice principal and make sure she or he sees it through. You really think I am dumb enough to just agree to that and then be on my merry way. Call them," I sit back. "Now," I firmly say.

"Fine," she says through her gritted teeth. This worked out better than thought I would. She picks up her phone and dials the number. "Mr. Harper, yes I have a Ms. Lancaster that needs to speak to you. No you can just come to my office."
