Chapter 5

Crystal led them to the seal, Sapphire felt a strange surge of energy, she pulled out silver soul, cautiously she approached the seal. when her foot touched a line of the seal the room shook, from the seal a voice could be heard, deep and demonic "blood of a magician, the aura weakens the seal! we shall be freed!" Maxwell ran in screaming "what do you mean we?" "we are the shadow kin! you may know us simply as the shadow! we are the ones who hide under your bed! we are the monster in your closet! we are the creatures in your nightmares! we are fear itself!" Kyle followed behind Maxwell, a sword in hand. Sapphire quickly noticed five bodies on the ground, the four Ravenwood members and Maxwell the butler. In the hand of Edward Ravenwood was a key and a note. The key must have been the key to the basement and the note read "the fifth raven is still out there!" The shadow must have read it as well because he screamed "A FIFTH  RAVENWOOD? HOW DID ONE GET AWAY?" he turned to Sapphire "you will release me from my prison! your soul is the key!" he stared right into her eyes, she could feel her heart racing, her head hurt, insanity slowly was taking her. she shouted in pain, when she did the room shook, everyone was pushed away from Sapphire.

Sapphire blacked out at some point, when she came to, a man stood before her, he wore a black hat, and a tux. "about time we met young lady." the man turns to Sapphire "my name is X, i'm not a spirit, but i'm no human either." "why am I here?"  Sapphire asked "i wanted to tell you that you are not normal, you are a magician, and you will be the one to stop the shadow kin once and for all!" he pulled something out of his pocket "in order to stop the shadow kin you need to find the last living member of the Ravenwood family, and in order to find them, you need the eye of the soul, that would be hidden underneath your house. now go!" with that Sapphire woke back up in Ravenwood manor.

She went downstairs to find all three spirits, Maxwell, Kyle, and Crystal, sitting at a table. Maxwell stood "Lady Sapphire, we believe we know how to find the eye of the soul!" Kyle stood "but first you need training, and we know just the magician and spirit to help." There was a knock on the door, when Sapphire opened the doors she saw Silver and another girl "Ah, we meet again, this is my friend Jade. And we are known as the magicians of Ravenwood, glad too see we wont be the only ones, Magician Sapphire".
