Chapter 9

                            Harper's pov
I don't believe it. I'm falling for my mission. This has never happened. Not to anyone.

He is just to kind and cute. But I have to stay on track. Max told Emily that he likes me. And of course Emily told me.

She is like the first real friend I have ever had. It's kind of nice. Kimberly kind of stays ways from me. I don't know why.

She also must like Max. She hits on him all the time. He's my mission not hers. She should back off.

Or am I just crushing. I don't know anymore.
I hear my phone buzz. It's from Max.

Hey want to go to the park?

I text him back.

Sure!! I will meet you there in 5

I take a shower and throw this on.

I run down the stairs and to the door. "I'm going out with Max!" I yell. "Ok." Mom yells back to me.

I open the door and walk to the park. I see Max at a bench. I walk up to him. "Hello." I say. "Hi." He says.

We stand in silence. "Well this is awkward." I say. We both laugh. "I wanted to ask you something." Max says.

His face turns bright red. My face starts to feel hot. "I just wante-ed to-o." He says. "Yes." I say. "But I didn't ask you." He tells me.

"Your nerves. And Emily told me." I say to him. "Well I'm glad it's over." He says. He walks over to me and takes my hand.

I know it's a short chapter.

But they are finally together!!!

All I need now is a ship name 😂

I have so many ideas for this book.
