Zayn's Point Of View

I looked up at my ceiling, and sighed heavily.

Rain was pounding heavily against my window, adding on to the stress. I don't know why it was raining today. We were in the middle of April. Yesterday had been burning hot. Sitting up, I grabbed my phone, and stared at it for a couple minutes. I then started going through it, looking at the pictures Ariana and I had taken yesterday at the beach. We had gone with Alyssa, Jake, Kara, and Tammy. Waliyha had gone too, seeing that she had nothing to do that day. I smiled; looking at one of the pictures. Ariana had her arms around my neck, and was kissing me on the cheek, as I was lifting her off the ground, giving her a piggy back ride.

I let out a deep breath.

TIme had passed so quickly. I had come to Sharfeild High mid October. It had been six months already. How was I going to tell her? Before she had gone home yesterday, I had told her to meet me at the community park the next day. I have to tell her something I have been holding in for quite a while now. It was Sunday, and I was supposed to be there in an hour. What was I going to do? I didn't want to hurt her.

I was leaving. A few weeks ago, I had flown out of Bradford to audition for the X-Factor, and made the show. They needed me to stay there. Well, atleast until I lost. I was supposed to stay in Bradford till I graduated, and leave that night. This meant putting an end to seeing Ariana everyday.  I was incredibly happy I got accepted, but I couldn't just stop seeing her. Ariana knew I loved to sing, but I never told her I was actually going to audition for the show. I had always asked her if I was good enough to audition, and she'd always tell me I was. She would always encourage me, but I was always too scared to audition in front of those millions watching you. I had decided to do it just before they had ended the ability to audition. I don't think I would have been able to do it without Ariana's support. Her, including my mum, were the only people that knew I loved to sing. Even my dad had no idea.

I know that Ari won't be too excited about my leave, and will most likely get mad at me for not telling her earlier.

Hearing my door handle twist, I looked up and see Waliyha come in.

"Hey Zayn. Have you seen my phone?"

I set my phone on my bed forgetting to lock the screen. "No. I havent. Now can you get out?"

She frowned and walked over to my bed sitting down. "What's wro-"

She stopped, noticing my phone, and the picture I had been looking at. She sighed, and looked up at me.

"Zayn. Are you sure about leaving Bradford? You don't seem like you can.."

I looked at her annoyed. "I am. Now can you please get out?"

"No. I wont." She said. "Zayn. I know your upset about leaving because you'll miss your friends. Especially Ariana. You love her. I know you love to sing and all; but leaving for good? Do you think you'll be able to do that? Why don't you just ask Ari out, and then you'll be able to take her with you. It's pointless sitting around thinking about her all day, and all the time. I've seen you. I'm sure she likes you too. I've seen it in her eyes. Everytime she's with you."

"No." I said, denying her words. "I don't love her. Its jus-"

Waliyha cut me off. "No Zayn. You do. Accept the fact, and ask her out!"

"Ok fine." I said. "Mabey I do love her. But she'd never want to go out with me. I think she likes Jake. She's always hugging him and playing around with him. We're just friends. I don't want to mess that up."
