The Struggle- 9

Even though it wasn't summer the sun blared down on us. We had spread our towels out on the hard concrete and us girls were tanning while the boys dived off the platforms looming high above us. Though Onyx was near the sun, my people never really seemed to tan. Raven and Ava had instructed to untie my bikini top and the back so I didn't have a white line access my back. We were all talking when I felt large droplets falling on my back. I looked up to see the outline of Decebel, rimmed by the sun.

" time to cool off." He smirked. I went to stand up but Decebel gave me a icy glare

" put your bikini on first." His words were orders. I tied it up and was helped up by Decebel. He scooped we up in his arms and carried me to the edge.

" Bon voyage." He tossed me in. I screamed as I plunged into the water head first. I resurfaced to see there boys doubled over laughing.

" Decebel!" I screeched. They just laughed harder. My brain formed a plan. I took advantage of the boys laughter and swam quietly away. I got out of the pool and snuck up behind them. I gave Decebel, Logan and drew a shove in the back which sent them stumbling into the water. Decebel was the first to come up.

" this calls for payback." He chuckled.

" anyone up for a game of truth or dare?" Ava called. We nodded in agreement and sat in a circle. Ava went first,

" raven, truth or dare?"

" dare."

" hmmm." Ava tapped her chin as if she was thinking. " I dare you to jump off the ten metre board." Raven went ghostly white.

" Ava. You know I hate heights." Drew reached out and held her hand.

" I'll go with you. I'll kiss you as we jump so you don't think about it."

Raven took a deep breath " ok, let's go." Raven and drew climbed the many stairs. The stopped at the very edge of the platform. Drew whispered something in her ear and they stood sideways so they faced each other. I quickly grabbed my phone from my bag and ran over so I got a good shot. They started kissing and then stepped off the edge. They were still kissing as the hit the water. I checked the millions of photos I'd snapped to find a near perfect one of them kissing mid air. After showing them the photo we moved back over to the circle for ravens turn.

" truth or dare Decebel?"

" dare."

" I dare you to jump off the ten metre platform naked." She turned to me " if that's ok?"

" perfectly fine. Do him some good to get some air down there." I gave him a sly smile. He got to the top then stripped of his shorts and jocks. He kept his hands over his private parts as he flew through the air and hit the water. When he can up, he realised what he'd done.

" can someone get me my shorts?"

" nope." I smirked at him. He grumbled and started to get up out of the pool. Ava ran up beside me with her phone.

" his nude run is totally going on Facebook." She filmed him as he raced up the steps and quickly re-clothed. Not being bothered with the steps he jumped off again returned to the circle.

" let's just swim now." Logan said. " I'm kinda bored."

" more like coward." Drew laughed. Logan tried denying it but failed. We all jumped in and started swimming.

" what do we do now?" Ava moaned. We had returned to my apartment and were lounging about in the living room.

" well first off we all need a shower. The room stinks of chlorine." Raven said. I showed them to the bathroom then stripped off to our bathers. Raven and I were about to go in when Decebel stopped her.

" if you wouldn't mind?" He stepped in and closed the door. He turned the shower on until it was warm. He wrapped his arms around me and closed his eyes and the spray enveloped us. He used his finger to draw circles around and around on my stomach. I turned round and leaned up to kiss him. His tongue swept along my teeth and around my mouth. There was a pounding at the door.

" hurry up would ya?" Drew yelled " we would like some hot water too!" We grabbed our towels and dried off before heading down stairs to get some clothes. I turned on the tv and sat down. Decebel picked up and moved me into his lap, not likening that I was so far away. The others came down and watched with us.

" I guess we gotta go to school tomorrow." I whispered to Decebel.

" sadly yes." He nibbled my ear softly. I giggled and snuggled in closer. The movie we'd been watching finished, we all got ready for another night at my place as the others had packed their uniform. I snuggled close to Decebel and he wrapped his arms around me.

" Eu vă va proteja cu viața mea." He whispered in my ear. I closed me eyes and fell asleep.

I woke to yelling voices upstairs. I was surprised to not find Decebel next to me. I snuck up to the stairs and flattened myself at the bottom one. It was then I realised that I could only hear one voice, Decebels. He was talking on his phone.

Must be arguing with his parents, I thought.

" but alpha." He growled. Alpha, where had I heard that before?

" but if she isn't canis lupis then why has my wolf claimed her? I can't just go and ask her! What do you expect me to say, oh hey, are you a wolf? If so then I want to mate with you. I will not leave her." His body was almost shaking with anger.

Who was he talking about, I questioned myself, surely not me.

" alpha I will not leave her. I have no doubt she is my mate. How would you feel if you were made to leave Alina? That is how I feel about Atlanta!"

" you do not talk about my mate!" Even though I was at the bottom of the stairs I could hear the voice on the other end of the phone loud and clear. Power flowed of his words. It took all of Decebels power to stand straight.

" I am sorry alpha." Decebel hung up. I quickly ran back and jumped back onto my makeshift bed. Thankfully everyone else was still asleep. When Decebel saw me he smiled sleepily

" hey you." He sat down with me.

" hey." I snuggled my head in his shoulder. " sucks that we gotta go to school."

" yeah. Come on let's wake the others." We woke the others and had breakfast. While in the shower I thought about Decebels conversation I had overheard. Mate? But I wasn't wolf. Athena had told me that wolfs could only mate with wolfs. I needed to talk to her. I jumped out of the shower and got dressed in my uniform. Once we were all dressed Ava and I made breakfast. We grabbed our bags and trekked to school.
