Kate's POV
I wake up and see sun is shining. Avi is asleep in the chair, his hair is messed up and going all directions, his beard does not look much better. I giggle as I take a picture, he starts to smile and opens his eyes.
"You can come lay next to me. I don't bite." I laugh. He stands up stretches, Lily has gotten up already, she was sleeping on the little couch next to me, but now, I can hear her quietly singing in the shower. Avi crawls next to me. The bed is just enough for both of us.
"You scared me last night, baby!" He hugs my belly.
We sleep for a while till the nurse comes in. She brings me breakfast and grins when she sees us cuddled up.
Not saying anything she gives me the plate and leaves.
"I want ice-cream..." I pick up the fork. Avi starts to laugh.
"What?" I say with a full mouth.
"Nothing. I'll see what I can do." He jumps out of the bed and puts on his jacket.
"What's your favorite" He tries to hold his laughter.
"Chocolate! Wait, I didn't mean you have to get it right now!" I blush and giggle.
Avi winks at me "I won't be long." As he leaves, Lily comes out from the shower.
We eat ice cream and talk about baby names, tour, work, just keeping up the conversation, Lily and Avi don't know much about each other. I get checked out of the hospital and we go home in silence.
I get settled in on our couch and Lily is trying to decide what to watch. Avi brings me some tea and cookies.
"Hey, can I say something?" Avi anxiously drags his hands along his pant legs. I look up at him and nod, Lily turns to us
"Go ahead!" She stops the movie search.
"I think I have the solution. I thought about it all night and it is for the best, I really want to see the little guy grow up, and I want to be close to you Kate, for as long as I can." Avi looks at me, looks down and nervously laughs.
"But for it to happen I need to return to USA for a little while... After New year, it won't be long, I promise." Avi looks at me, looking for approval.
"What is this solution?" Lily questions.
" I can't tell you yet... I don't want you guys to stop me." Avi shrugs.
"Okay...If it will bring us back together..." I smile and Avi looks relieved. He sits down beside me and cuddles in with the baby bump.
I get trough the start of the film and then I drift away in sleep. When I wake up to turn in the other side, i am already in my bed, Avi sleeping next to me.
