A normal day at Goode was a was like war zone. And trust me I know from experience what a war zone looks like.

The crowds that clumped around us on the way to our lunch table got larger and larger each and every day.
And by 'us' I mean my high school friends Jake and George.

After the whole deal with the Leo dying and coming back to life with my sorta ex-girlfriend on the back of his also very much alive dragon and Leo recovering from the punches we gave him, my mum decided that it was time for me to attend high school for my remaining two years.

Naturally, I was against the idea completely... until I found out that Annabeth was going to a girls school nearby and would be staying over.

So basically I sold out for my sassy and violent girlfriend. Who's really hot.

Mum is really good at blackmailing.

Anyways... I was making my way through the hordes of people running towards the school cafeteria when I notice a girl looking, correction, staring at me from across the hallway.

So I did the natural thing for me, stare back.

"Hey Perce! Watch a lookin' at?" Jake nudged me in the stomach.

George looked over at the strawberry blonde and gave a nod.
"She's pretty hot, you gonna ask her out."

I shot him a confused look.
"Why would I do that?"

Jake throws back his head and chuckles.
"Bro, I'm pretty sure that the the guy who spends his entire life reading in the science block halfway across the school know she has a crush on you."

"Really! Another girl with bad taste!"

George shoots me a 'really' look.
"Dude if you haven't noticed yet, your hot."

I shrug my shoulders, and sigh.
"She's kinda creepy, plus I have a girlfriend."

George and Jake shoot each other quizzical looks before bursting into a chorus of laughter.

"I'm serious guys."
The reaction was instant. They face harden and they begin to argue.

"Dude, don't you think we would have seen her by now."
"Is she hot?"
"Can we meet her?"
"And what's her name?"

I put up my hand to silence them.
"Sure." I shrugged my shoulders, "Why not this weekend. Annabeth doesn't have any plans."

Jake nods while George just looks at him and snorts.
"Dude you actually believe this guy."
"Yeah sure, the guys super forgetful and you just said it yourself, he's hot"

Que them shouting at each other and the school bell in the distance.

"Guys! It's our next class"

Jake huffs.
"Yea let's go? Do you know what class we have?"

"Beats me."

George begins to stand up from the cafeteria table and into the hallway, calling over his shoulder.
"Maths for all of us..."

Jake begins to follow him, until he spots the hallway girl and decides to tell her about my situation.

I nod to him and mouth a thank you.

"Ok guys I'm coming around to check if you've finished yesterday's homework so pull it out please." the teacher calls.

I find myself pulling a smug smile as I look through my bag for the sheet. I had finally convinced Annabeth to take a break from the world of architecture long enough to teach me algebra. And I am pretty sure I have a grade above a C.

Then when I realised I left my maths homework at the apartment. Schist!

I watch warily as the teacher walks around the room.

Please don't notice me... please don't notice me...

"Mr Jackson, can I see you work please."

I bite my lip. "Ahh... I... Ahh..."

That's when the door slams open and familiar grey-eyed princess storms in.
"Perseus Achilles Jackson, stand up right now!"

I bolt out of my chair, knocking over a table and earning a couple of snickers from other students.

I give her a wary smile. "Hey Beth... What's up?"
Annabeth responded to this by judo flipping me and pining to the ground with her foot.

"Don't 'Hey Beth' me Mr!" She shouts, "I did not put up with you whinging till 11 about the 'problems with algebra', just so you could forget the sheet on my bed, first thing in the morning!"

I give a sheepish grin as I pulled myself to my feet. "Sorry Wise Girl."

Annabeth sighed and flashed me a relaxed smile, before removing her foot from my chest, bending over and pulling my maths homework out of her backpack.

"Your lucky Paul let me in, Seaweed Brian" she scolded me as she passed me the sheet.

"I'll thank him later for it, remind me Ok?" I replied.

Annabeth shook her head. "Yeah sure."
That's when she realised she was standing in my high school classroom and 30 students were staring at her.

The teacher gave a small cough and nodded his head towards Annabeth.
"Who might you be, young lady?"

Annabeth blushed a light pink, out of sheer embarrassment.
"My name is Annabeth Chase sir, I'm Percy's girlfriend from the girls school nearby and I just came to drop off his maths homework. I'm very sorry interrupting your class, please excuse me."

The teacher's face relaxed immediately and his face showed me he had fallen for Annabeth's good girl act.
"Very well then, young lady, it seems your business here is done."

Annabeth gave a tight smile to mirror the teachers own and turned to leave. "Yes it seems so..."

The door closed with click and the entire class fell into silence as if to process what had just happened.

George leans over from the neighbouring desk to ask the obvious question. "So that's her..."

I nod slightly as I straightened my table.

"Dam."
