The gang was having breakfast at Amelia and Lauren’s apartment. Lauren was reading the newspaper, Cooper was eating like a horse, Nick was on his laptop and Amelia was on the phone.
“Oh, my god!” Amelia said nervously as she hung up the phone.
“Everything okay?” Lauren asked.
“No, everything is not okay.” she said.
“What happened?”
“That was my mother.” she said. “She’s in town and wants to have a family dinner tonight. But why? Why would she want to do that?”
“Um… maybe because that’s what families do once in a while when they don’t live near each other?” Nick suggested.
“No, we’re the Carlisles. The Carlisles don’t do that.” Amelia explained. “Oh, my god! What if it’s about my Dad? What if it’s about his heart?”
“Alright, let’s not jump into conclusions here, Amy.” said Lauren. “I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about.”
“I haven’t shared a cup of coffee with my family in almost a year. Now all of a sudden they want to have dinner? Something is definitely wrong. I have to call Matty.” Amelia grabbed the phone again and went to her room.
“What are you doing?” Cooper snuck up behind Nick who was feverishly typing on his laptop.
“Geez! Wear a bell, will you?” Nick cried out. “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”
“‘Meet Your Match’?” Cooper read out loud what he saw and burst out laughing. “Online dating, really?”
“What’s wrong with online dating?” Nick asked.
“What’s wrong with it, you ask?” Cooper said. “You know how some women reach a point where they get lonely with life and their solution becomes getting a cat?”
Lauren rolled her eyes.
“Online dating is the male version of that.” Cooper finished.
“That’s it. I’m late for work. Bye crazies.” Lauren said and left the apartment.
“You don’t need this, buddy.” Cooper said closing Nick’s laptop. “Tell you what; I’ll help you find a chick. I’ll be your wingman tonight.”
“I don’t think that’s wise.” Nick said hesitantly.
“Why? I’m a great wingman.”
“How many relationships have you had that lasted more than a couple of hours?”
Cooper clutched his chest as if he was having a heart attack. “Now that’s brutal, man.”

Lauren was waiting for Amelia at a coffee shop for lunch when someone came up to her table. She looked up to see who it was.
“Marvin…” she said. “What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?”
“You won’t return my calls.” he stated.
“Why would I?”
“I just need to talk to you.”
“I’m meeting Cooper for lunch.” she lied. “He could be here any minute. Are you sure you want to be here?”
“Cooper doesn’t scare me.” he smiled.
“Just go away, Marvin.”
“Can you hear me out, please?”
