Chapter 7: Casting Over

I'm so scared... help.

"AAAHHH!"

I felt something weird in my chest. I looked at it, it's glowing! I can feel my legs giving up. The world is shaking. I need to ru-

Then everything went black.

The light is so blinding. Is it already morning?

I opened my eyes... Ah! My head hurts! What happened? And I heard something from afar.

"Hello?" no response.

I looked at the surroundings... tall trees, sea breeze, dark skies... Then I remembered what happened. I was running because something seemed like chasing me. Huh? Where is it? I must return to the rest house. It's creeping me out already. Maybe that was just my imagination. It's impossible to have a glowing stone chasing me.

As I made my way to the rest house, there's a sudden feeling inside me that something is not right here. The silence is not normal. Are they asleep? I looked back and saw no footprints in the sand. I'm confused. My heart's starting to race. How can this happen? I need answers! I'm scared!

I ran towards my room to make sure that I wasn't dreaming. I saw no one in the corridors.

"Sarah?" I called when I reached our room. Ohh. She's sleeping. I knew I was dreaming. I looked around for a while to find my other roommate, Chelsea.

"Chelsea?"

I searched the corridors, the terrace and the bathroom. She's nowhere. Then when I reached the ground floor, I saw a book. To my surprise, it was floating. I went near it to see if I was imagining things... and yet I'm not. It's really floating! I stared at it for a few minutes and then decided to open it. This blinding light again? When I managed to open my eyes, I saw the writings. I can't understand them. The characters are not familiar to me. Not even similar to any writings in the internet.

Kringg!

The sound of a pan in the kitchen startled me.

"Who's there?" no one answered. Then another sound came. A lot louder than the first one.

SSHHUUUUUGGGG!

"This isn't funny anymore. Better go out or something bad might happen"

Please. Stop this. This night is getting longer.

I went to the kitchen and observed cautiously while holding the book. Dugdug. Dugdug. I saw a stone shining brightly between the ingredients and the pans. The same stone! And I ran. Again.I saw some people in the lobby! Yes! At last I can ask for help. I'm going insane.

"Huh?" I sawtheir still hands. One was trying to reach something but he's not making anyimprovement nor a movement. What is this?

Why aren't they moving? They're completely frozen. I looked at the wall clock... it's not moving.

Oh god. Oh god. What's happening? I can't take this anymore.

I ran outside along the beach. Then something hit me.

"Huh? N-Now w-what was t-that?"

I walked a few steps and felt dizzy. My head... what's going on? Mom... dad... help... me...
