~Skye's POV~

I have nothing left

And all I hear is this cruel wanting

We've been falling for all this time
And now I'm lost in paradise

*Evanescence- Lost in Paradise...*

"Skye! Stop singing! It's destroying our house!" -_-... nice compliment aunt... thanks.

Seriously, I really don't like it when she destroys the moment. Aunt's been like that to me ever since I started living here. What a life. If she doesn't want to hear me sing, then fine. I'll just Lay-back against the wall and see those constellations up there. For me, when a constellation shines it really makes me think that it is a sign for something I must do.

But you know what? There was this bizarre event 7 years ago... well, it happened already for many times, in different cases and in less expected ways. But who cares? They're just coincident.

What happened was, I was on my way to a bookshop when I happen to pass by an adult man drunk. At that time I was looking for the traffic light, waiting for the time to cross the pedestrian line. The man walk towards my direction and stood next to me. He said "Outta my way!"I was pushed by the guy and I almost got hit by a cab. I started crying and the man said "Stop crying you slut!" he walked towards me and made me face him, not aware that he's already at the center of the road. I was really angry but I can't defend myself because of my position and this guy might do something terrible to me. I just cried and let my anger out through tears. "I will kil—".

That happened so fast. Blood filled the road I was facing to, shreds of glass scattered throughout the whole road and bits muscle and some skin on the cement. The body, which was laying meters away... broken neck, swollen eyes, and the whole body filled with thick blood.

I couldn't move. My tears harden. I couldn't see the road clearly.

It was so fast that I can hardly remember exactly what I did moments before. People started rushing to the place where the accident happened. I don't know what to do. And then my legs started to walk as if they have their own minds.

"A child was here before! Where is she?!" a woman shouted.

"There!" I turned back and saw that they are running towards me. I ran and ran. It was like I was running forever. Then the rain poured. I can feel my tears falling and finally my legs gave up. The people following me were gone. A stranger appeared from nowhere and saw me. He asked where my parents are.

"They're dead...". The man apologized. He suggested carrying me to the police station. His voice was so tender that made me feel a little bit warmed.

The man talked to the police officer. Then he walked towards my direction. Upon arriving at my place, he kneeled on the floor and said "I must leave you now. You're already in good hands. And your aunt is on her way". He stepped up and headed to the door. "Wait!" I shouted. "Who are you? How did you know my aunt? Please don't leave me. I'm scared..." The stranger turned his back and gave me the most genuine smile I have seen in all of my life.

"Untilwe meet again" he said.
