"She told me about what happened." Scott looked at Stiles, who immediately looked back at him.
"What'd she say?" Y/N's ex boyfriend questioned.
"That she's sad about it. She actually thought you would say something else then 'You okay?' " The alpha answered.
"..." Stiles stayed silent.
Scott gave him an insisting look.
"Okay look, I really didn't know what to say, alright!? It was an awkward situation and she was looking at me like she was expecting me to say or do something specific. All that came to mind was to ask if she was okay... Was it wrong to ask??" Stiles defended himself.
"I believe it wasn't. But, she told me she thought that maybe you would hug her or at least defend her when it was the time to. She said that I wasn't supposed to be the one to always take her defence."
"But we're not together anymore..." Stiles said.
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't protect her sometimes, Stiles. Seeing you go towards Malia first during the fight made her weaker." Scott told his best friend.
"I know... But what would've Malia said if I did this?"
"Yeah... But look, I noticed that too. Since you two broke up, you're always on Malia's side, even if she's totally wrong and you know it."
Stiles didn't say a word. Scott continued.
"Why are you doing this to Y/N? She was your girlfriend for 2 years and still, you seem to care more about your girlfriend from not even 2 months. Y/N seriously thinks she means nothing to you now that you're with Malia... Know that?"
"But I still love her. More than anything, more than anyone." Stiles felt a knot forming in his throat.
"Stiles, you are in a relationship with the girl who made you cheat on her. How do you think she feels? " Scott explained calmly.
Stiles kept silence until he decided to talk about something he hadn't tell anyone yet.
"Saturday night, I tried to tell Y/N something that would've changed everything and I was too scared to do it." Stiles said. They stopped at his locker.
