Daniel

Ten...........

Finding out a reason why I am different doesn't change who I am.

I'm still Daniel Weston, the awkward, shy, lonely boy who talks to himself in the playground with no friends and the boys who still pick on him. I thought they punch to the face would scare the boys away and leave me alone. It turns out, it made it worse.

They started pushing me and kicking me now. They constantly will beat me any chance they can and one day they hit me so hard, I ran all the way home crying and my lip cut.

Dad called the school but they claimed that they did nothing to me, and that I just fell.

What did I do to deserve this?

I always thought I would be unhappy and alone with no one to talk to.

But someone new came into the picture one day.

It wasn't the love of my life like dad told me I would meet in the future.

But it was someone who I can call a friend..........

*******

I kept doodling, drawing random things in my book.

Luckily sawyer, Tristan, jack and Caleb are all in a different class so thankfully I can escape from them when I'm in class.
As usual the class was a ruckus with everyone yelling and throwing pencils and rulers around and the sound of laughter and chatter filled the entire room while i just sat there in the corner scribbling in my book when the door flung open and our teacher; Mrs Anderson, who was a nice enough teacher in her mid twenties with long black hair and dark brown eyes, walked through the door and the class silenced.

"That's better, Reece I could hear you from the other room talking to Levi!" She proclaimed and Levi laughed as Reece pushed him in annoyance.

"Alright, okay. Okay, right class. We have someone new joining us today. And you all know how hard it was on you're first day of school so I want to treat her with respect. Understood?" She said raising her eyebrows to the class as she stood at the front and everybody murmured in agreement.

A girl with blonde, long curly hair walked in nervously. Her face was small and pixie and her blue eyes were bright and pretty, she had a sweet and innocent smile plastered on her face as she entered walking to the front and nervously pulled on her blue school dress.

"We're happy to have you here Melanie, she just moved in from Cardiff and you will be nice to her because all of you remember how scary your first day of school was. You can go over and sit next to Daniel over there." Mrs Anderson said pointing over to me as my head shot up and everyone whispered and giggled. I shook my head slightly to Mrs Anderson and she gave me a sympathetic look and the blonde, curly haired girl smiled over at me and sat down next to me and everyone started causing a ruckus and wrecking everything while I carried on with my doodling and she smiled, looking over my shoulder at my drawings.

"You're very good." She said, her voice soft and sweet and I looked down at the floor nervously. "Th-thank you." I stuttered out quietly and she twiddled her fingers nervously.

The bell rang and I quickly slammed my book shut and ran out, avoiding talking to her. It's not just her, it's everybody.

I walked in the playground, kicking the pebbles and dirt on the ground as I walked away from everyone who was busy either playing football or chatting with each other. I walked to the corner of the playground where nobody really goes to, with a old wooden bench. Which was always cold to sit on because it was always in the shade.
