Cory's POV
I stood in the kitchen, bending down to get a bag of chips. Jess calmly walked behind me and slapped my butt. I jumped, slamming my head into a rack of something. The raven-haired girl snickered, "Not sorry."
I rolled my eyes, grabbed my chips and stood back up. I looked at the Bay Window in the living room. Shelby was sitting there, looking out to the world around us. She made a face, scrunching up her brow.
I paused, studying her. I watched as Max slowly sat across from her, pulling his knees up. They talked in bushes voices or perhaps I just was bad at hearing. I watched what seemed as an enirnty, her hand softly took his and he followed her gaze outside.
I felt a flash of something but I left it bundled in my heart, scared to touch it.
I was scared for Shelby, I know she can pull through right? I'm scared I'm... we are losing her.

Jessica's POV
I watched the green flare in Cory's eyes, envy. I huffed, then turned to my room.
I know what it feels like to be broken, trust me. Broken Buddies? She would kill me if I told her that. My past... I'm very sure they will return with much more power.
Shelby can rebuild herself, with our help.
A ship has to sail anyway~! ;)
