I lay there staring at the blank ceiling, deep into thought. I can't get my mind off of her. She's so perfect. A knock at my door startles me causing me to jump. "What do you want Jamie?" I say with an aggressive voice. Jamie is my twin brother, everyone says we look alike but I honestly don't see it. "Zoe, mom wants you to go to bed." I sigh. Jamie closes the door, I look around and see the clock. 10:39. Just 10 more hours until I see Amanda, I think happily to myself. Amanda is gay, but I don't know if I'm ready to come out to her. I know, it's really dumb but I just get so nervous thinking and talking to her. Yes, we've known each other since 6th grade, we are now sophomores in highschool. I wish I could avoid it all, it sucks falling for your best friend, and if you tell them you like them, you could ruin it all. I don't want to risk it. I pull the blankets up and put in my headphones. Troye Sivan started playing so I grinned a little and drifted to sleep, thinking of her.
