Chapter 2: just friends?

Blurry. I start to see things, darkness but everything is blurry. My eyes adjust , I look at the clock, it's 7:02. I groan and get up. I grab my glasses and head to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and brush my hair. My hair is dark brown and pretty short. Some people mistake me for a guy. I mean I don't mind so it doesn't bother me. I go into my room and change. I pick out some black jeans with rips in the knees. I look for my favorite shirt, I thought of Amanda. Her favorite shirt of mine is my Blue Neighborhood shirt because it has her face on it. I grab it and put it on. I quickly grab my white beanie and rush downstairs to eat breakfast. I see Jamie eating some sort of cereal. I glance at the time. ITS ONLY 7:30! Ugh that means about another hour until I see Amanda! I wish time would move faster, I miss her. So what, it's been 3 days since I've seen her. She couldn't go on her phone this weekend, she had family functions. I toast a piece of bread and pat some jelly on it and stuff my face. I walk with Jamie to school, and he's already ready. I get my penny board and Jamie gets his. Since we live like a half a mile from our school, our mom lets us ride our skateboards to school. Halfway down the driveway, I get a message from Amanda.
Amanda: can't wait to see you :) i missed you <3
Ok not going to lie, I know we call each other cute names as friends, I still freak out seeing her texts.
  Jamie and I arrive at school, and I see Amanda near the brick wall looking around. She's wearing a red flannel, glasses, and black jeans. My gosh she looks adorable. "ZOE" Amanda yells at me. We run up to each other and hug. Wow, I didn't want to let go, I wanted to be in her arms forever. I would do anything to be with her. Amanda lets go, she jumps up and says "I have news!"
