MASON
“Stella… Stell?” I said, shaking her lightly. I rolled over next to her and sighed. “Shoot.” I rubbed my hands over my face and tried to concentrate. Stella was already endangered. It won’t take them long to realise who she really is. I looked over at her sleeping and my eye caught something around her neck. I picked it up with my hand as Meeko whined in his basket. I looked over at him and rolled my eyes. “You know she’ll find out about you soon. When she can change, she’ll feel that you aren’t really just a dog” Meeko just turned around in his basket, making sure I could see his butt. “Nice. Stay with Stella while I just go see Jade and Milo” I got off the bed and unlocked the door. I took one more look of my sleeping angle and closed the door behind me.
“Mason?” Jade said in surprise from the kitchen. “What were you doing in Stella’s room?” I looked at her uncomfortably and looked around the place mindlessly. “OMG! Stella’s the pr-“
I ran over to her as quick as I could and put my hand over her mouth. “Jade, shut the hell up! Do you know how many people are after her?!”
“But that means she’s your mate! Where is she now?” She asked, trying to get to the bedroom door but I stopped her.
“She umm… passed out… Jade, she didn’t even know who she was! I told her… and she kind of… went out for the count…” I explained, and Jade gawped.
“Did you tell her about the mate thing?” she asked, and I nodded. Jade grinned a huge grin, which I couldn’t help returning.
“I kissed her… Wow… it was…” I said, struggling for words.
“Amazing? Wonderful? Perfect?” Jade smiled, sitting on the counter. I grinned and nodded, remembering how Stella tasted on my lips, making me want her even more. “You need to go see your dad. He needs to know she’s here. I’ll look after her now, Milo will be here in a second, he can help”
I looked at Stella’s door and sighed, walking over to the door. “Don’t let anyone in apart from Milo. I can’t risk losing her again” I closed the door and ran down the many stairs leading to the exit. As I exited the building, I jumped the steps in my hurry and shifted mid-air and started running in the direction of my parent’s house. I galloped on all fours through the forest, taking long strides to get me there quicker. As the tree’s thinned, I could make out a big building that was my parent’s house. I shifted again and ran straight into the house.
“Mason?” My mum gasped, as I burst through the front door. I walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“Where’s dad?” I asked, and she pointed to his study. I knocked on the door and entered as he said “come in”.
“Son, what is it?” he asked, sitting in his chair noticing my urgency.
“She’s here… My Stella’s here” I replied, the smile on my face grew bigger and bigger. My dad’s eyes widened and stood up.
“Are you sure? It’s really her? Was she wearing her necklace?” he asked, grabbing something I couldn’t see and placed it in a bag. He then took a book off the shelves above his desk and placed it in the bag too.
“I’m positive. She didn’t even know she was a werewolf dad.” I replied, and followed him out the door. He stopped short and spun around.
“You told her she was a werewolf?!” My dad yelled, making me stop in my tracks. “Mason, you know what she was like. She stormed off when she didn’t like something! There are a lot of vampires who would love to see her be tortured by Serenula. Would you like to see Stella tortured?”
