Sorry I haven't posted an imagine in a couple days...
~~~~~~~
I heard a creak and I whirled around. There she was. Looking straight at me, her blue eyes shining with pure crazy. Her thin lips curled into an insane smile and she gripped the gun in her hand meanly. I whimpered and looked behind me for Carl. Where was he? I fearfully wondered. I gulped and held my own gun in front of me threateningly. "I'll do it" I warn her. She cocks her head and laughs maniacally. She takes slow steps towards me and I place my hand over the trigger. "You'll never do it, sister" she snarled at me. Oh yeah? I said in my mind. With that I aimed the gun right at her head and before she could even react I pull the trigger. The bullet went right through her head. Her body went limp and her eyes went blank. She fell to the floor with a thud and I collapsed on the ground. I covered my mouth with my hand, holding back sobs and screams. Tears can down my cheek. What had I just done?
8 hours earlier ~
We had been walking through the forest for what seemed like forever. I was hungry, thirsty and tired. I clutched Carl's hand as we continued to walk silently. No one had talked for hours. My sister, Blair, walked ahead of me. Her blonde hair hanging in a loose ponytail. She was four years older than me and was mad at me about something. She was always mad.
I sighed rather loudly and Carl looked at me. He smiled slightly and pecked my cheek. The only person who I actually cared about was Carl. I know that Blair was my only family but honestly we never got along and she was always so mean to me. Carl understood me like no one else did. As I thought about my hatred towards Blair I didn't notice Rick motioning to us to stop. Carl snapped me out of my daze and I looked up. "I say we stop here for the night, it's getting dark and we don't wanna be out walking at night." Everyone murmured in agreement and I shifted my weight.
As Rick finished talking everyone dropped their bags. A couple days ago we had come across a camp that had got overrun. Surprisingly most of the tents were still usable and we had taken them. There were enough tents that most tents could house two people each. Rick was nice enough to let me and Carl share a tent and we had been taking that for granted. Of course when Rick had said we could share, Blair being Blair had started pouting for some reason. She just got worse when Rick said she had to share with Eugene. "He's a perv!" she had shouted. Later I'd gone to Eugene and apologized for her behaviour.
Carl and I had managed to set up our tent and we were now lying on our shared sleeping bag. "I'm so hungry" I moaned into his chest. "I know babe, so am I. We all are" I nodded to his words. "And thirsty" I added. Carl rubbed my back and I tried not to think about food. Carl and I stayed like this for at least an hour. We finally decided to get up and go and see what everyone was doing. Luckily no one checks on us anymore. Especially without making us know they're there anyways. I walked slowly over to the small fire Glenn had built, Carl trailing behind me. "Hey" he said as we sat down on a moss covered log. I smiled in response. "Daryl and some of the others went hunting, pray to god they find something" he told us as he stood up. The fire slowly crackling to life. "Where's Blair?" I murmured. "I'm not exactly sure...probably in her tent" Glenn said as he went and grabbed some more wood.
A few hours later we had finished our first meal in days. Daryl and the others had somehow by the luck of god shot a deer and even found a small pond. We'd cooked the deer and boiled the water. I leaned against Carl, smacking my lips approvingly, my stomach for once not rumbling. Blair sat across the fire from us, glaring at me coldly. "Wanna go for a walk?" Carl whispered into my ear. I smiled and nodded. "We're gonna go for a short walk, we'll be careful" Carl told Rick. Rick looked at him disapprovingly but let him go. "Be back in forty minutes!" he'd yelled as we wandered into the bush.
The night air was surprisingly warm and the moon shone brightly, illuminating the path for us. I squeezed Carl's hand and rested my head on his shoulder as we continued walking. As we walked, I noticed a shape in the distance, it looked kind of like a shack. "What is that?" I murmured. "I don't know" was all Carl could say as we neared it. As we grew nearer and nearer we realized it was a shack. I smiled to myself as we looked for a door. "Maybe there's food in there!" I said quickly. Carl smiled at me and nodded his head. Eventually we found a door and we climbed the porch steps. I heard a rustle in the bushes and I turned my head. I couldn't see anything but I had an uneasy feeling in my stomach.
Carl tired the door knob and the door surprisingly opened easily. "After you madam" he said in a faux British accent. I giggled and stepped over the threshold. Carl followed and I looked around. It was kind of hard to see but I could make out a desk, a couch and a coffee table. There was one door across the room and it must've led to the kitchen. Carl picked me up and kissed me. I melted into him and kissed him back. He let me go and a part of me wanted him to keep kissing me until my lips ached. I sighed quietly and we pushed open the door. It was the kitchen, a very small one. As we looked around I heard something in the other room. Carl started towards the door but I stopped him. "I'll go check, look for food" I tell him. He gives me a I'm-the-guy-so-I-should-go-check look but let's me go. I hold my gun and tiptoe into the other room.
Before I knew what was happening someone's hand went over mine. I tried to scream but their hand stifled it. I kicked at the person but they still wouldn't let me go. I heard a distinct giggle and the person let me go. I whipped my head around and it was Blair. "Wh-what are you doing here?!" I whisper shout at her. Not wanting Carl to hear. She laughs and fingers a knife in her hand. "Thought I'd tag along" she murmured. Then she rammed her hand against my throat, pushing me against the wall. I wheezed for breath and tried to reach for my gun. Before I could though, she placed her knife over my throat. "I'll do it" she warned. I struggled slightly but gave in. Blair eyed me coyly. "Get away from her" a cold voice warned. It was Carl. The knife automatically dropped from my throat. I rubbed my throat and coughed. "Get out and go back. Now!" He yelled, pointing his gun at her head.
Blairs smile faded and she stumbled backwards without a word. She ran out that door and Carl looked out the window, watching her disappear into the woods. "Babe! Are you ok?" He asked worriedly. I nodded slightly and he pulled me into a hug. I buried my face into his neck. "Just go see if there's food and then we'll go" I mutter. He nods and we walk back into the kitchen. "I didn't get very far" he tells me. I nod and rub my throat. We pulled open cupboard after cupboard. We ended up finding some chips, two cans of soup and condensed milk. Yum. Carl and I put the stuff in my bag and started for the door. We were on the porch when Carl stopped. "I forgot my bag, I'll be right back" he said, running back in. I walked in and stood by one of the chairs.
Then I heard a creak and I whirled around. There she was. Looking straight at me, her blue eyes shining with pure crazy. Her thin lips curled into an insane smile and she gripped the gun in her hand meanly. Where did she get it from? I thought she went back to the camp?! I whimpered and looked behind me for Carl. Where was he? I fearfully wondered. I gulped and held my own gun in front of me threateningly. "I'll do it" I warn her. She cocked her head and laughs maniacally. "Why do you hate me so much?" I cry out. She didn't say anything, instead she took slow steps towards me and I placed my hand over the trigger. "You'll never do it, sister" she snarled at me. Oh yeah? I said in my mind. With that I aimed the gun right at her head and before she could even react I pull the trigger. The bullet went right through her head. Her body went limp and her eyes went blank. She fell to the floor with a thud and I collapsed on the ground. I covered my mouth with my hand, holding back sobs and screams. Tears can down my cheek. What had I done? Carl ran out of the kitchen. "Oh my god! What happened?" he screamed, kneeling next to me. I couldn't manage to say anything, instead I just shook my head. He wrapped his arms around my shaking body, pulling me into his chest. I hiccuped and continued to cry. And we sat there for what seemed like forever. Just me, Carl and Blair.
