Shot Me Outta The Sky

Nice to meet you.. One Direction.

I laughed. "You what?"

"One Direction. The band. That's us!" A boy with curly hair said, a cheeky chuckle in his voice.

"One Direction? As in - you mean - you sing the song that's like.."

"Thats what makes you beautiful!" the boys all sang together, with enthusiastic hand gestures and massive grins on their faces.

"No way!" I giggled. I paused for a moment, and I could see everyone looking at me expectantly, waiting for me to say something else..

"Danielle Peazer, why did you not tell me before?" I said, hitting her playfully.

"Tell you what?.." she replied, trying to keep a straight face, and failing - I could see hints of a smile try to break through her lips.

"Hang on, oh I don't know, maybe the fact that you know One Direction?!" I exclaimed, sarcasm obvious in my voice.

One of the other boys (not the curly-haired one with the cheeky face; another one, with wispier hair, not completely straight but not exactly curly, either - hot.) continued:

"Or the fact that you're dating the hottest one in the band?" he winked at her and she grinned back at him, a sparkle in her eyes. The other boys laughed, and the boy sat next to him, who I noticed had amazingly blonde hair, put his arm round his shoulder and patted him - cute.

"Are you kidding me? Dani!" I laughed and shouted at the same time, hitting her again. We all laughed, and when the laughter died down I decided to start the next conversation.

"So, are you guys gonna tell me about yourselves anytime soon? Or am I going to have to use my telepathy?"

They laughed, and the blonde one said "I think you should tell us about yourself first!"

Dani added "Yeah, you should, and you need to find a way of redeeming yourself after wearing that top to come meet us here!" she laughed, I think she was joking..

"Oi!" I retorted, "Are you insinuating that this top looks ugly?" I said with a shocked look on my face.

"Um, yeah" Dani laughed, along with the others. I scowled, until I heard a whisper in my ear

"I think you look beautiful."

I whipped my head round, to find two bright blue eyes staring into my own. I was stunned. I wanted to look away but I just.. couldn't. Something was keeping my there. I'm sure I looked stupid but I didnt care, I just wanted to -

"Mabel!"

I snapped out of my hypnosis and looked at Dani. She raised her eyebrows and said "Are you going to tell the boys about yourself?"

"Um, yeah, sure. I don't really know what to say.. I looked at Dani for some guidance. She just raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "Er.."

"Well, really, there's only one piece of information I need to know.." it was him that spoke. I tried not to look at him in the eyes, I tried to just listen to what he had to say. It was hard, to say the least.

"And that One Thing is," at this point the rest of the boys and Danielle chuckled, I dont know why though, "do you like carrots?"

I laughed, "Well, obviously!"

He patted me on the shoulder. "GOOD. I can see we will get on well." I looked at him and he winked. I think I stopped breathing for a second.

We all had some really good conversations, and before we knew it, we'd been sat there for hours just talking and joking around. I decided it was time for me to get going.

"Guys, I should probably be going. I still have heaps of unpacking to do back home. I want to get it done today so I can go out and buy the rest of the home essentials (furniture) tomorrow." I don't know why I told them all that.. I stood up from my seat and smiled at them, sadly. I was genuinely gutted that I had to leave them, they really were great lads. and Danielle, of course.

Danielle stood up too "I'll come too then, you'll probably need some help, you're not the tidiest of people are you, babe?" she laughed. I smiled, it was true - I'm not one for being tidy.

"If you don't mind, Dani, that'd be great. Bye then guys, it was great to meet you all, we'll meet up again soon." I turned to walk away from the table.

"WAIT!" I heard from behind. I spun around to see the guy I'd locked eyes with earlier stand up,

"Why don't we all come round and help you? That way you'll be done faster!" The other boys cheered and I chuckled, awh, he's sweet, "Really?" I wasn't sure if he was being serious.

"Of course! Why wouldn't we want to help a pretty girl like you" he winked again. God, that boy will be the death of me I swear.

"Well," I looked at Dani and shrugged my shoulders, "Why not?" all the boys cheered again. "And then why dont we have a party?!" I said, sarcastically. The coffee shop was filled with cries of "woop!" and "yeah!" I really don't think the coffee shop liked us being this loud..

"No guys, I was joking! No party." To this all the boys dropped their cheers, and their grins, and sighed disappointedly, each giving me their best puppy dog looks. "..well, we'll see, ok? Come on you lot." I ushered them out, and once we were all happily settled in our appropriate cars, we drove en route to my new house.
