[Just a little A/N: This chapter is just introducing the main-ish character (me, hahaha) and what she's like, her personality, blah blah, all that shizzle. The chapters will get more exciting I promise! And they'll be longer, so I hope you likey. Let me know what you think! This is going to be a semi-spontaneous story, you know, go with the flow :) but I do have an ending to work towards.. and a basic plot.. so I guess it isnt really that spontaneous. :/ The 'Dani' you hear is Danielle Peazer - Liam's girlfriend in real life if any of you wonder. Oh and another thing, there wont be many A/Ns (luckily for you guys) because I tend to ramble and I hate that when I'm reading fanfics. Anyways, thanks - or tanks! - and enjoy!]

*Bzzzz, Bzzzz*

Oh, I must've dozed off while unpacking - again.

 *Bzzzz, Bzzzz*

I heaved myself off the sofa and picked up my mobile, which was vibrating on the floor in front of me. Left it on silent - again.

"Hello?"

"Mabel, where the hell are you?"

I paused for a second, letting the cogs in my brain think quickly.

"Oh my god, yes! Sorry, Dani, I completely forgot! I'll just get going now!"

I could almost see her rolling her eyes through the phone line. "Sorry, hun!" I exclaimed.

Calling her 'hun' usually helps when I'm in trouble with her, I dunno, it just makes her forgive me easier.

"Ok, well stop talking and get moving then!"

"Alright I'm on it, keep your knickers on!"

I heard a snigger in the background, a slap and then a distinct "ow!" followed by further laughs and giggles.

"and wear something nice! Not them disgusting jogging bottoms you have!"

"Oi, you! Don't diss the joggers!" I faked a dramatic cry.

"GET MOVING"

"Ouch! Calm down! I'm leaving as we speak!" ... lie.

"Sure you are, now goodbye! See you in 5!"

"15 more like..." I whispered and promptly put the phone down.

I was meeting Dani's friends. I looked down at what I was wearing. A tank top and jogging bottoms. Hmm, I should probably change.

I ran to the bedroom, straight to the suitcase on the un-made bed and grabbed some jeans and a nicer, warmer top - it was only January after all! But I did need to look presentable, Dani had told me to - and I can't disobey her, that's never a good idea.

I threw them on, sprayed deodorant and a bit of perfume and Bob's your uncle! done!

I looked at the clock. I had no idea when I had had the phone call or when I was supposed to meet her in the first place. I grabbed my phone and keys and ran out the door.

Oh! Make up and hair! I probably looked a right state!

I decided to do it at breaks at traffic lights, I couldn't afford to waste any more time.

I finally arrived at the coffee shop. It was a cute shop, small but whenever I visited London I had to go there. Though, I hadn't been in absolutely ages. I wondered if it had changed at all.

I stopped in my thoughts and decided to just get in there before Dani really gets angry.

I ran in, opened the door and looked around. I saw Dani right at the back, at a table amongst a group of boys. About.. 5 of them in fact! How interesting...

She was on the phone and looking very frustrated. One of the boys tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned to face me. I grinned at her as I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, before it started playing "What Makes You Beautiful" by that band.. Um, what're they called? One.. Direction! That's the one.

I laughed and Dani came running over to me, slapping me on the arm, half-playfully.

"ow Danielle! Why the slap?"

She ignored my painful outcry. "Why are you so late?"

"Um, traffic." I lied.

"Well we have been waiting a very long time!"

I laughed, "You stress too much."

"You care too little."

"I care about things! I just.. dont take things too seriously, I guess?"

"And you talk too much. And.."

"Alright, shush you!"

Danielle was honestly the sweetest person ever, and my best friend, but when she's annoyed, you know about it - which is good I guess, and it doesnt happen too often.. Luckily the mood doesn't last long and in a couple minutes shes back to her old bubbly, lovely self.

I walked past her, towards the boys. I sat down and greeted them "Heya, y'alright lads?" I laughed. I wasn't nervous about meeting them, to be honest I hadn't really thought about Dani's friends at all.

They all gave me a blank look, and I looked around the table, confused. "..What?"

"Hi, we're One Direction."
