"I'm Dan" he whispered, looking down at his shoes.
And that was it, their first conversation. The session started soon and Dan took his usual seat and it wasn't the one next to Phil, but in front of him. Of course it felt weird because this Phil actually talked to him after so much time that he spent alone.
The story-telling time began and familiar people started talking about things that Dan already knew. That Chloe girl was depressed, the orange-haired boy whose name he can't remember had family problems and was abused in his childhood. But he got to the point where he didn't care about anyone, because at the same time no one cared about him, so why would he even try to bother?

"Dan?" Jake's voice got him back to reality. "Would you like to share something with us?"
"I never did, why would I start doing it now? I'm fine." he replied, looking around the room.

Jake sighed, he knew that the boy wasn't as fine as he claimed to be. Since their first meeting, he only talked once about the reason he was there. But with the sadness in his voice and the way his eyes got watery, everyone realised that he needs help, even if he denies it every single time.

"Maybe next time, okay?"
Dan nodded his head.
"Sure, I'll try"
Lies among lies, that's how he faced reality almost everyday.
