Secret Life of a Mermaid

Chapter 1: Becoming a Mermaid

One day I was with my sisters Aqua and Acacia(same age at 16 but a few months apart but Aqua was born first). And my name is Aquema(youngest at age 15).

We were swimming in the ocean by our house at night and we found a cave, the cave was full of really pretty and sparkling crystals and we found a little spot where a hole in the cave was and the ocean water came in and a little spot where there was three necklaces.

They were all blue and one has red, orange, and yellow flames in it, one had white ice cycles in it, and the last one had green drops of water in it. We found a hole in the floor so we thought we would go for a swim and when we went in the water through the hole the water started bubbling and drops of water started rising and it just suddenly stopped, and we swam home.

Then the next day we went swimming again and went back to the cave. When we got back to the cave the necklaces were laying on a rock and glowing. Then after we picked a necklace and put it on and it felt like we have had them all our lives instead of just getting them.

Aqua picked the necklaces with water drops in it, Acacia picked the one with ice cycles in it, and I picked the one with flames in it.

Then we went for another swim and we all swam faster than we ever did and I looked down because it felt like I was swimming in a different way. And then I looked at Acacia and Aqua and we all have tails! Then I told them to swim to the surface and they did then we all freaked out because we have tails and I said "Maybe we should go back to the cave." "Yeah we should." they both agreed.

When we got back to the cave we were trying to figure out how this happened. Then we figured out that it happened last night when we jumped in the hole in the floor of the cave and just a little bit ago when we got the necklaces.

So when we were done talking we swam home and had a sleep over. During the sleep over we talked about how we aren't going to tell anyone about this and can't go swimming at any parties or anything but we can tell our boyfriends if we want to.

And after we tell them then we have to tell them about the rules we have. And they can't tell anyone either. And the bad thing about this is we were invited to a pool party a few days ago and the party is this weekend, it sucks.

We most likely won't be going to the party and I feel bad because it's one of our good friends she is going to be disappointed. And all of our friends are going to be there.
