Secret Life of a Mermaid

Chapter 3: Telling the Guys the Secret

After I was done texting Kaden I asked Aqua and Acacia if they wanted to go swimming with me in the ocean and they said yes. Then when we went swimming our tails turned colors and that was a first. Aqua's tail was pink, Acacia's was yellow, and mine was blue. And they all glowed/sparkled it was so cool.

While we were in the ocean still we started talking and I asked them if we should tell our parents that we r mermaids. And of course they said no. But then I asked them if we should tell our boyfriends. And the answer to that came out a little bit after I asked and they said that it was up to ourselves on that one.

"Aqua. Acacia. Should I tell Kaden that I'm a mermaid because I'm not sure how he would act?" I asked

"Well how about this I will tell all three of the boys that I'm a mermaid and see how they react and if it's a good reaction like my boyfriend not breaking up with me good reaction then u can tell Kaden." Aqua said

"Ya so will I." Acacia agreed

"Thanks guys I appreciate that."

"No problem." They both said at the same time

Then we started swimming again and we went to the cave and saw some random people there exploring the cave. So we swam out as fast as we could. And when we got to shore we got out of the water and dried off and our tails disappeared just in time because some guys were just about to walk by us.

Then we went home and told our mom that we were going to visit the guys. And when we got to there house they were outside in their pool. So we had to sit pretty far from the pool because they like to splash us a lot.

I told them not to splash us but they did and thank goodness the water missed us. Or it would have been a disaster. Then Aqua stood up and told the guys she had something to tell them so they stop splashing and Acacia got up and stood beside her and said the same thing.

"OK guys the thing Acacia and I have to tell you is that we are, mermaids." Aqua said

The guys didn't say a word for about 5 minutes. Then Mason said " Oh come on Aqua that's crazy u know there is no such things as mermaids."

"If u don't believe us then splash us and see what happens." Acacia said

So then Mason, Austin, and Kaden all splashed them and there tails appeared and they fell over because they can't stand with the tails.

The guys then stood there with their mouths open for another 5 minutes. Then I finally got the confidence to stand up and tell them.

"Guys I'm a mermaid to" I said

Kaden then got really shocked and said "Wait what!"

"Ya its true we have been mermaids for about 4 days now and I didn't know if I should have told u sooner or not."

Mason then splashed me and I did the same as Aqua and Acacia.

"Mason really u had to do that" Aqua said sticking up for me

"Well how would it be fair if u 2 got splashed and she didn't?"

"It is because u already know we r mermaids."

"Don't worry I got this Aqua." I said

Then I heated our tails and it dried off the water and we had legs again.

"You guys have powers too" asked Austin

"Ya I can control liquids." Aqua said

"I can freeze liquids." Acacia said

"And I can heat/boil liquids." I said

And the guys just stood there in the pool shocked.
