The New Boy

We are here. Patiently waiting. In-announce na ni Kuya ang pagdating mga mga bagong housemates na makakasama namin sa bahay na ito..

New adjustments. New people. New faces. New bonds and friends to make...

I'm sitting beside ate Maymay, until the door opened. From there, pumasok ang mga bagong kasama namin sa bahay. I was on my full smile when suddenly i got stunned. There's a new lad who caught my attention.

Who is he?

Tall, fair skin, toned muscles, physically fit built, and a good looking face..

Hindi ko pa siguro malalamang nakatulala ako kung hindi ako siniko ni ate Maymay.

"Huy Edward?" sabi niya sa akin...

"Wh-what?" my sudden answer as i snap out of my day dreaming.

Day dreaming?? Of what? That's not the right term. Why would I evem day dream?

"Ang saya no? May mga bago tayong kasama," ate Maymay said to me.

"Y-yeah. Of course. Mga bago nating kakulitan I guess," sagot ko naman.

I put my attention to ate Maymay so that, i could forget what i'm thinking about, few moments ago.

But seriously, I don't understand a thing about what ate Maymay is currently saying right now. My mind's kinda bothered about something. And that something? I don't even know what that is.

Why am I even bothered really?

"Mag hello na tayo sa kanila, ano?" sabi ni ate Maymay.

"Sure," I said plainly.

So I then started to mingle with the new housemates. I greeted them, asked their name, and gave mine as well. But the funny thing here is, I am avoiding someone.

Halos makikilala ko na ang lahat ng narito, but damn. That guy, why am I too shy to greet him? What's the matter with me?

What's happening to me?

Suddenly, naramdaman ko, someone's staring at me. And before I knew it, he's already in front of me.

Yes.. Him.

Once again, I'm frozen. I'm just there, looking at him, as if I'm memorizing his face. He's saying something, but I can't hear a single word. All I know is I'm staring at him. The bad thing is, I know it's already quite long.

"Hey," he said. While snapping his fingers in front of my face.

That's when I realize that I'm doing something very embarrassing.

Tumingin ako sa paligid. Good gracious, no one noticed what I just did. Everyone's busy talking to each other, except us of course.

Him and me.. Us..

"O-oh I'm sorry what?" I asked him.

He chuckled slightly, "nothing. I just want to greet you. Hi, I'm Tanner. Tanner Mata."

Iniaabot nya sa akin ang kamay nya.

There's something weird on my chest. It's pumping. Loud.

Baka marinig nya. Nakakahiya.

I accepted his hand. It's soft and smooth. Masarap hawakan. Yet, it's cold.

"I'm Edward," my response as I flash a smile on my face.

"Nice name," he said and then retrieved his hand from our hand shake. "I hope we get along better."

"Yeah," my respond.
