One week later
I turned off the shower and got out before wrapping a towel around myself. I walked out of the bathroom, the towel wrapped tightly around me.
The only lights in my room came from the windows. The sky was a light gray outside, the kind of light gray that reminded me of the sky right before it softly snowed.
I looked over at Iosif's coat, sitting on the chair and sighed, it was beginning to lose his scent and that scared me.
I went over to my nightable and grabbed my undergarments from it's drawers.
I changed into my under garments, away from the windows, when my phone began to ring, from across the room.
I walked over and picked it up off the table and looked at the caller ID, Iosif's number.
I froze and stared at the screen. I picked it up quickly, laboured breathing answered.
"Adalina."
He breathed out and I gasped.
"Iosif-"
"Follow the blue, turn at the red."
He said quietly, before ending the call. I covered my mouth, dropping my phone and raced to my closet.
I threw on a sweater and pants then raced out of my room.
"Dad! Dad!"
I shouted and all the men ran to me.
"Iosif called me! He said follow the blue then turn at the red."
I told them and they all looked confused.
"Wait, I need a map."
Ivan announced and we all raced to my dads office. We burst in and my dad handed Ivan a map of the area around here.
Ivan looked around it, before using a pen to mark an 'X' on a road.
"Ian's estate was on blue road. Sparrow Lane is full of red apple trees, making the road seem almost red."
He began, marking another 'X' on a road connected to the first one.
"That road leads to a house where some of Ian's men stayed, right around here. Near the small lake."
Ivan added, circling a spot near a marked lake. I looked at my dad and he nodded his head at Cooper.
Cooper took a picture of the map and brought it up on his phone.
"Lets go."
He muttered and my dad left with all the men in a hurry.
I could feel my heart beat rise, I was getting Iosif back. He was going to be ok. I needed to see him right away.
IOSIFS POV
I've been here a week. My leg was still injured, possibly infected. There was only ten men in this estate.
The idiots had me chained to a wall. I knew for a fact they had broken a few ribs and sprained my right wrist. I licked the dried blood above my top lip and sighed.
I could hear the men chanting upstairs and reached behind me and pulled out my phone.
I haven't had much time alone. They usually had one guy watching me, but right now he was upstairs so it was now or never.
I had a plan set up, and now was my only chance to put it into action.
I pulled my one hand out of the chain, idiots didn't chain me right either. Honestly, they were so stupid, but they had numbers on me and were sometimes quiet coming towards the cell.
I pulled my phone out from my pocket and turned it on and unlocked it.
I had a message from Adalina. I read it quickly and my lips twitched a bit in the corners.
I called her and it rang for a minute before she answered. I had to get this out quick so she could get her dad.
"Adalina."
I breathed, my throat felt raw, and she let out a small gasp.
