Chapter Ten:
[Give me Answers Sierra Smith]
Thankfully, my best friend can drive! We drove to the Crest View police department in a hurry. I knew I should get right back home to my dad, in case he needed anything. I’m pretty sure when I tell you this, that we ran about four stop signs, and missed three red lights. Yeah, this speed demon is the girl I call my best friend.
When we got there I literally jumped out and danced around on the pavement. “Hallelujah that you didn’t get us killed!”
“Oh shut up. I’m not that bad of a driver.” she giggled, jingling her keys around.
“Says the girl who almost hit a man… who was standing on the sidewalk!” I joked.
She glared at me, “So what do we ask this Sierra chick anyways?”
“We ask her what she knows.” I replied.
She nodded, in agreement.
We entered the musty smelling police station. There were donut boxes everywhere, call it a cliché, but ever wonder where they got that idea for the movies from? Well, its because officers like them donuts!
A man behind the front desk looked at me curiously. “Can I help you?”
“I hope so. Can I speak with Sierra Smith?” I asked, politely, it’s the only way to get what you want.
“Are you relatives?” he asked.
“Uh… n--..” I started, but Zoey budded it.
“Uh. Yes. Cousins. Her only relatives, tragic story you see. But, I don’t have time to tell it to you, so if you don’t mind showing us to our little cousin?” she smiled, playfully.
“Oh. Sure. Right this way.” he grinned at her.
I gave Zoey a glance that said ‘Did you seriously just lie to a cop?’ She smirked at me, like she’d done this a million times before.
“She can only have visitors for twenty minutes, so hustle, I’m breaking laws just for you pretty ladies.” he smirked, looking Zoey up and down.
Pig.
“Thanks sir.” Zoey giggled, biting her fingertip seductively.
“Hi Sierra.” I smiled at her.
She was sitting in an orange jumpsuit, with an IV in her arm, and her hair in a pony tail, exposing strangulation marks.
“You’re not my cousins.” she scowled, becoming frantic.
“Clearly.” Zoey snarled, staring at the cell.
“Look, Sierra. I want to know everything you know about the Sigma’s. Everything you know about my sister, where she’s located." I annunciated.
She looked at me annoyed, “Look, I told you that if I do they will kill me. I’m not going to get killed anytime soon.”
“What’s the IV for?” Zoey asked, pointing to the tube attached to her right arm.
“I’m sick.” she sighed, coughing a horrible hack.
“Just tell me Sierra. I’m desperate okay?! My sister is the one you saw being put into a body bag! Okay?! My family has been ripped to shreads because my sister isn’t home. People are devastated and I want to give her justice. So you are my key to justice, and you are going to tell me where the hell my sister is! Damn it.” I yelped.
