I Want the Headline

Yoongi's hand still gripped your arm, keeping you tucked tightly behind him. You managed to peek over his shoulder at Jimin who was still laughing quietly to himself. What was so funny? You didn't understand and Yoongi seemed to be at a loss as well. Jin was staring up at you, his concern written all over his face. He wanted Yoongi to let you go back to Namjoon's organization, but at the same time, he didn't. No matter what side you were with, you were still unsafe. Yoongi wordlessly looked down at Jungkook and Jin, eyes scanning over the both of them.

He needed to talk to Jimin alone, but he couldn't just leave them there with the perfect opportunity to escape. Handling you was easy, just one threat to you or your brother and you were in perfect submission. Jin might have the gall to try and escape with you, but with that foot, he'd never get far. The problem was Jungkook. He was familiar with being abducted and how to escape. Now did he know how to escape with three other people? Yoongi wasn't sure, but he didn't want to test that out now. He still needed Jungkook to agree to his terms.

Jungkook's eyes drifted from you over to Jimin who had taken a step forward and that's when it happened.

In your fear, it had barely registered to you that Yoongi had moved away from you until Jungkook cried out in pain. His exclamation was quickly silenced as he dropped to the ground, his body suddenly very still. Yoongi stood over him, the butt of his gun held out where Jungkook's head had been seconds ago. You jumped, tears building up. You had never seen a person be hit so hard then lay so very still. Your first thought was that Yoongi had killed him. But the closer you studied him, the more apparent were his soft breaths.

Jungkook lay unconscious, half his body still awkwardly strapped to the chair. He had fallen too close to Jin, half his body draped over the other man. The leader's eyes flickered up to Jin who seemed to be stuck under Jungkook. He watched as your brother tried and failed to wriggle out from underneath the man. Wordlessly, Yoongi stepped back to return to you. He stopped too close for your comfort; his body brushing against yours, one foot purposefully placed between the both of yours.

His dark eyes scanned over your face, attention lingering on your mouth. He quietly observed them, noting the flushed tone and puffy look. Raising his hand up, he ran the pad of his thumb along your bottom lip roughly, as if he was trying to rub something off. You shifted away, but his hand curled around your chin, pulling you back in place and smoothing his thumb over your lips again, apparently unsatisfied with the first swipe. His brows furrowed momentarily and then he was shifting his gaze back up to your eyes, his hand dropping away. "If you move from this spot, I'm going shoot your brother and then let Jimin finish what he started with you." He stepped back, heading over to Jimin, "We need to talk."

Although Yoongi had strode by him, fully expecting Jimin to follow, the other man did not. Yoongi backtracked and there was a pause as Yoongi studied his expression. Jimin's face had gone pale, his lips trembling as he stared at the ground blankly. The slender fingers of Yoongi's hand nudged the other man and Jimin subtly inclined his head, following him towards the exit.

Jimin followed after Yoongi in a daze, passing through the double doors of the warehouse to the back office. As soon as he had cleared the door of the office, Yoongi was shoving him forward, slamming his head against the desk. "What the fuck was that?" Yoongi growled at him. Jimin hissed, face still sore from Jungkook's beating. Trying to lift his head up, he was only pushed harder against the cool wood by Yoongi.

"I.." Jimin blinked rapidly, "I wanted to kill her." He admitted slowly. Yoongi's hand pulled away and the man took a step back, eyes squinting at Jimin in disbelief. Wasn't Jimin the one who thought that you were innocent and didn't deserve any of this? And he wanted to kill you? When had this drastic shift occurred? Yoongi ran a hand through his hair in muted frustration.
